Getting started and booking
15 questions
Can foreigners get a health check in China?
Yes. Foreign visitors can request a planned health check at selected hospitals in China. The hospital confirms identification requirements, clinical suitability and appointment availability. Start with your city, travel window and the examinations or concerns you want to discuss, then confirm the plan before paying.
Which cities does MyChinaCheckup cover?
We cover Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, Sanya and Zhuhai. The current directory has 31 hospital listings: seven in Shanghai, seven in Guangzhou, five each in Shenzhen, Beijing and Chengdu, and one each in Sanya and Zhuhai. Start with your itinerary, then compare the exact hospital campuses and examination lists.
Is MyChinaCheckup a hospital?
No. MyChinaCheckup is the specialist health-check planning platform of Access China Med. We coordinate the agreed appointments, practical arrangements and language support. The selected hospital or healthcare provider supplies examinations and medical care. A listing does not by itself establish an official hospital partnership.
Is a health check the same as a visa medical?
No. A voluntary health check may not satisfy visa, work-permit, study or residence requirements. Ask the authority requesting the examination which provider, form and procedure it accepts. Confirm that official route before booking; an ordinary package cannot guarantee acceptance for an administrative purpose.
Do I need WeChat or a Chinese phone number to enquire?
No. Email is sufficient for the first enquiry. A hospital may have its own requirements for registration, appointment notices or report access. Ask how those steps will work for an overseas visitor before booking, including the contact method to use on the day.
Does submitting the form confirm an appointment?
No. The form starts a free enquiry and does not reserve an appointment. First review the written plan and total, then provide the minimum hospital booking information privately after accepting the plan. We send written appointment confirmation after the hospital confirms. The service agreement and payment follow the agreed booking process.
Can I book a hospital directly?
Yes, you can ask a hospital about its official direct-booking route. Confirm passport registration, the actual package, payment, language support and report collection. Compare those arrangements with the coordinated service, especially if your visit is short or you need help communicating with several departments.
Are the visitor stories promises of the same experience?
No. A visitor story describes an individual experience, not your confirmed booking or expected medical outcome. You can share the story and explain what interests you, but the hospital, package, appointment, price and arrangements for your visit must be checked against the current plan.
What information should I include in my first enquiry?
Tell us your preferred city, travel window, broad goals and any package or story link you are considering. Add contact details and relevant practical needs so the team can respond. Optional notes can describe special requirements or concerns; detailed documents can be arranged privately if needed later.
Can I start planning before my China travel dates are fixed?
Yes. Choose “Not sure yet” where appropriate and describe the cities or months you are considering. We can help you compare possible arrangements. A booking still requires an actual appointment date, provider availability and written confirmation, so an early enquiry does not hold a hospital slot.
Can I request a health check at short notice?
Yes, you can enquire even if your intended visit is within seven days. Share your exact available times and departure deadline. Hospital capacity, registration and preparation still determine what is possible; an urgent enquiry does not guarantee a next-day appointment or completion of every requested service.
What are the six steps from planning to receiving my reports?
Confirm your personalised plan and total; share the required booking details privately after accepting the plan; receive hospital-confirmed appointment details and sign your service agreement; pay in full before your first examination; attend your check-up with English support; then receive the hospital’s Chinese report and complete English translation within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed package are completed. At the end of the visit, sign to confirm services actually completed and outstanding items; this does not confirm report delivery. Any hospital-required advance payment is explained and agreed before you accept the plan and confirm your booking.
Is MyChinaCheckup an emergency or urgent-care service?
No. We coordinate planned appointments and practical support; the website and enquiry service do not provide emergency care or personalised medical advice. If you need urgent medical attention, use an appropriate local medical service rather than waiting for a check-up enquiry response.
How can I contact the coordination team?
Email hello@accesschinamed.com or use the official WhatsApp link for +86 152 5246 8298. Support hours are daily, 06:00–22:00 China time, UTC+8. Start with your service request and travel plans; use an agreed private channel later for documents the hospital needs.
Can hospital registration requirements be checked before I buy flights?
Yes, request that check before making travel commitments.
Ask which identification details and original documents the selected hospital requires, and whether it accepts your proposed registration route. A preliminary response is separate from a confirmed appointment. Detailed identity documents should use the agreed private channel if the provider needs them.
Cities and hospitals
11 questions
Which city is best for a health check?
Choose around your itinerary, the required examinations, available appointment and exact campus. Consider hotel-to-hospital travel and onward transport as well as price. There is no single best city for every visitor; a city already on your route can be simpler if it offers the appropriate confirmed service.
How do I compare hospitals?
Compare the exact campus, listed examinations, available date, English arrangements, complete quote and report handover. Our hospital comparison presents planning information rather than a clinical quality ranking. If a detail matters to your decision, have it confirmed for your own appointment rather than inferred from a hospital name.
Does an international department guarantee English-speaking doctors?
No. An international-department label does not mean every doctor and employee speaks English. Confirm how registration, examinations and any consultation will be supported. Dedicated English accompaniment is part of the agreed check-up service, while a clinician’s language and room-access arrangements need a specific check.
Can I arrange a check-up during the Canton Fair?
Yes, you can request a Guangzhou appointment around your Canton Fair schedule. Share your available mornings, hotel area and departure time. Confirm the campus, preparation, visit sequence and any separate appointments before arranging meetings around the check-up; a Fair visit alone does not establish appointment availability.
Which hospital is near the Canton Fair?
Use the confirmed hospital campus and your actual hotel or Fair departure point. Compare the route, drop-off location, walking distance and reception point. A hospital brand or district name alone cannot establish the journey, so confirm the specific location before deciding which appointment fits your day.
Can I fit a check-up into a Shenzhen business trip?
You can request a Shenzhen appointment around a protected morning in your business schedule. Keep hotel travel, meetings and departure deadlines separate from the on-site check-up estimate. Extra imaging or consultations may need another slot; confirm the complete sequence before committing to a same-day onward journey.
Can foreign visitors arrange a health check in Shanghai?
Yes, you can enquire before arriving in Shanghai. The directory includes six hospital listings, including Renji East Campus and Ren’ai in Xuhui. Compare the full examination lists and actual locations, then confirm registration, the appointment date and English support for your chosen package.
Are health-check options available in Beijing?
Yes. Our Beijing directory lists five hospital options, including Tongren East Campus and Peking University International Hospital. Compare the exact examination lists and campuses. Any item awaiting confirmation must be resolved with the provider before you rely on the final appointment and quote.
Can I arrange a health check during a Chengdu trip?
Yes, you can request an appointment at one of the five listed Chengdu hospital options. Share your travel dates and preferred examinations, then confirm the exact campus, reception arrangements and language support. A city listing alone does not establish availability on your chosen day.
Why does the hospital campus matter when booking?
A hospital can operate several campuses or departments with different locations and services. Your selected package must match the confirmed appointment site. Keep the campus, building, entrance and check-in point in the written plan; a hospital name alone may send you to the wrong place.
Do a scan and an outpatient consultation use the same registration desk?
Do not assume they do, even at the same hospital.
Your written itinerary should identify the campus, building, department and check-in instructions for each appointment. Ask whether a separate queue, registration or payment step is needed, and allow the confirmed transfer time between departments.
Comparing packages
7 questions
Are all scans included in a full body package?
No. Only the examinations expressly listed in the selected package are included. A “full body” label does not establish that every MRI, CT, endoscopy or other scan is covered. Check the exact region and protocol, then ask the hospital about suitability and the separate price of any addition.
What does full body check-up mean?
“Full body check-up” is a broad description, not a standard examination list or a promise to find every condition. Compare the actual named tests, their eligibility conditions and the questions you want the clinician to address. The appropriate scope depends on clinical review rather than the package label.
Can I compare health-check packages side by side?
Yes. Select up to three packages and open the comparison tool. Each column represents a separate hospital package, so compare the named examinations and conditions rather than treating every row as an equivalent test. Ask about unresolved details before choosing the option for your own appointment.
Where can I find the full examination list for a package?
Open the individual package page and its downloadable PDF where provided. Review all listed examinations, eligibility notes and stated exclusions. Homepage highlights are a starting point rather than the complete list; use the exact package link when asking the team to confirm your intended plan.
Do package numbers such as 01, 02 and 03 mean the same thing at every hospital?
No. Package numbers are not standardised medical levels across hospitals. Compare the named tests, body regions, eligibility conditions and included services for the specific hospital package. A higher number or longer list does not by itself establish that an option is more suitable for you.
What do “not listed” or “awaiting confirmation” mean in a comparison?
The published information does not confirm that detail. This is not proof that a test is excluded or can be added. Ask for the exact item and conditions to be checked with the hospital before finalising the plan; if it is essential, resolve it before booking.
What should I check when a women’s package includes an eligibility or marital-status note?
Ask the hospital what the note means for the exact examination.
Clarify the proposed procedure, its eligibility conditions, consent and any alternative before choosing the package. Do not infer the examination route or suitability from the package title alone. Any revised scope and price should be confirmed for your own plan.
Prices, payment and invoices
22 questions
How much does a China health check cost?
Current selected package listings across our seven cities range from US$268–US$1,122. The named package price includes its listed examinations, personalised coordination, dedicated English accompaniment and the hospital’s Chinese report with full English translation. Confirm your selected package, approved extras and applicable inclusion terms in the written quote. Current inclusion terms cover confirmed visits through 31 December 2026; request applicable written terms for later visits.
What are the Guangzhou package prices?
Our selected Guangzhou package listings currently range from US$268–US$1,122. Each published price covers the named package and included services. Compare the exact examination list and campus, then confirm the selected package and any separately approved additions in your written quote. These are not universal hospital tariffs.
What are the Shenzhen package prices?
Our selected Shenzhen package listings currently range from US$270–US$1,100. These are prices for named packages with their included services, not standalone scan prices or a universal hospital tariff. Compare the actual tests and campus, then confirm your package and any approved additions in writing.
Is English accompaniment included?
Yes. Dedicated English-speaking accompaniment throughout your check-up is included in the selected, confirmed package. Your written plan identifies the meeting point and visit arrangements. Additional consultations or services outside the agreed package need their own scope and price; accompaniment does not guarantee access to every examination room.
Can I use an international card, Alipay or WeChat Pay?
Ask which payment methods are available for your booking before sending money. Acceptance can differ by recipient and payment route. Your instructions should identify the payee, exact amount, currency and any fees; do not assume a method used by another visitor will work for your arrangement.
Can I get an invoice and an English cost breakdown?
Yes. Before payment, receive an itemised English quote. After payment is received, we send a payment confirmation and arrange the operating company’s Chinese tax invoice, or fapiao, through its invoicing process. This payment confirmation is separate from the hospital-confirmed appointment. Confirm invoice details and issue timing; hospital-issued documents require a separate check.
Will an invoice guarantee employer or insurance reimbursement?
No. Ask the employer or insurer whether the services and proposed documents meet its requirements before booking. Our company invoice, a hospital bill and a medical report have different purposes. Confirm any required hospital letterhead or stamp with that hospital rather than assuming it will be available.
Which costs can be extra?
Additional examinations, contrast or preliminary tests, follow-up care, medicines, transport and accommodation can cost extra when outside your agreed plan. Ask for an itemised price before approving an addition. An examination already included in your selected package should not attract another charge for the same scope.
Do I need to pay before travelling to China?
Reserve now. Pay in full before your check-up. For ordinary check-ups, you can pay after arriving in China and before your first examination. Any hospital-required advance payment will be explained before you confirm the booking. Any such exception is disclosed separately in writing and agreed before you accept the plan. Confirm an available payment channel; the website does not promise acceptance of a particular card, wallet or cash.
Why might my quote be in US dollars but payment be in another currency?
Package listings use US dollars, while your agreed payment instructions identify the settlement currency. If these differ, obtain the exact amount and conversion arrangement in writing, including any processing charges. Do not use a historical exchange rate or another visitor’s payment amount.
Why is the payment recipient a company rather than the hospital?
MyChinaCheckup is the health-check planning platform of Access China Med, operated by Nanjing Xurun Health Consulting Co., Ltd. (南京旭润健康咨询有限公司). The company receives payment for the agreed arrangement and issues its own invoice. The selected hospital provides medical care. Confirm the exact recipient, amount and services in your written payment instructions.
Can I ask for a consultation-only quote instead of a full screening package?
Yes. State that your immediate request is a specialist consultation and ask whether an appropriate provider can accept it. Request a quote for that appointment and its agreed support. Any later tests or wider check-up should remain separately proposed until clinically reviewed and accepted by you.
Does the first consultation fee also cover a later appointment to review new results?
Ask the selected provider before booking. An initial consultation, additional tests and a return results review can have separate fees and availability. Your written plan should say which appointment is included and how another review would be arranged if the doctor requests new investigations.
Can I reserve a specialist visit without pre-approving every test the doctor might propose?
Ask for the consultation scope to be confirmed first. If the clinician later proposes examinations, request their purpose, price and timing before agreeing. Booking the initial visit should not be described as your approval of an unspecified list of paid additions.
How should I communicate a firm spending limit for a planned specialist visit?
Give the coordinator your limit and ask for a plan showing known fees and possible separately priced services. Request another discussion before any addition would exceed it. A budget helps define what you are willing to purchase; the clinician still decides what care or investigation to recommend.
If the specialist does not order a test, is the consultation still chargeable?
Confirm the provider’s consultation terms in advance. The appointment may be chargeable for assessment and advice even when no new test is ordered. Ask what the fee covers rather than treating a test order, prescription or particular conclusion as a promised outcome of the consultation.
Can we request separate invoice documents if one person pays for both?
Ask before payment whether the requested invoice arrangement can be supplied. Give the payer and invoice details through the agreed channel and keep each person’s service amount identifiable in the written plan. One combined payment does not by itself determine the invoice format or guarantee employer or insurance acceptance.
Can two people use different payment methods for a shared visit?
Ask which methods are available for each payment and request separate amounts and references in the instructions. Confirm how each payment will be acknowledged and linked to the correct plan. Availability of a method, split-payment route or invoice arrangement needs checking for the actual booking.
Is translation of old records I bring from home included in the package?
Do not assume it is included.
The stated package translation covers the hospital report from the confirmed check-up. If older records need translation for clinical review, agree the documents, language, timing and any separate charge first. Ask the receiving clinician which records are necessary before commissioning additional work.
Which quote should I pay after changing the requested tests?
Use the latest agreed written version.
Ask the team to identify the version or date, accepted examination list, additions, amount, currency and recipient. Have obsolete payment instructions clearly superseded. A discussion about possible changes should not leave you choosing between conflicting totals.
What if a hospital asks for advance payment after arrival payment was discussed?
Request a written explanation before agreeing to the revised arrangement.
Ask which service requires it, the amount, deadline and applicable terms, and how it relates to your earlier plan. Any hospital-required exception should be disclosed and agreed. Do not infer that a verbal request changes the whole booking or refund policy.
What payment evidence can I send without sharing full card details?
Use the booking and transaction references through the agreed contact channel.
Ask which date, amount, currency or redacted receipt is needed to reconcile the payment. Do not send a full card number, security code or login details. If payment status is unclear, request confirmation before assuming that another payment is required.
The visit and preparation
21 questions
How long does a routine health check take?
Allow approximately 2–3.5 hours at the hospital for a routine check-up. The actual duration depends on the listed tests and hospital workflow; extra examinations may extend it. This estimate excludes hotel travel and does not guarantee that separate scans, consultations or procedures fit the same appointment.
Can all examinations be finished in one morning?
Some routine packages can be completed in one morning, but this is not guaranteed for every plan. Additional scans, consultations or procedures may require separate slots and preparation. Confirm the full sequence, including outstanding examinations, before treating the routine check-up finish time as the end of all appointments.
Do I need to fast?
Follow the preparation instructions issued by the hospital for your booked examinations. Ask specifically about food, water and medicines, because instructions depend on the tests and your circumstances. Do not apply a general website fasting rule to every appointment or change medicines without the responsible clinician’s advice.
Should I stop taking my medicines?
Do not change medicines based on a package description or website guide. Give the clinical team an accurate list, including non-prescription products and supplements, and ask for instructions for your booked examinations. Your coordinator can relay the question; the responsible clinician should give the medical advice.
Who meets me at the hospital?
Your written plan confirms the English-speaking coordinator, meeting point, arrival time and contact method. Check the exact entrance or reception rather than relying only on a map pin. A team biography does not reserve a particular person; the assignment for your appointment needs confirmation.
Can I book a health check on a weekend or public holiday?
Ask about the exact date and every department needed for your plan. A hospital being open does not mean all check-up services are available. Confirm the appointment and any separate tests, and account for working days and holidays when planning report delivery and onward travel.
Can I have my check-up on the day I arrive in China?
It depends on your local arrival time, registration, preparation and the hospital schedule. Share the full journey and ask whether the booked examinations can realistically fit. If the required preparation or arrival window cannot be met, choose another morning rather than relying on the flight’s scheduled landing time.
Can I schedule a flight or train soon after the check-up?
Share the departure time and latest time you can leave the hospital before booking. The plan must account for all examinations, separate appointments, any recovery instructions and travel to the station or airport. The usual routine check-up estimate alone is not enough to guarantee a connection.
How should I plan a check-up if I must leave the hospital by a fixed time?
Give the coordinator your latest departure time, not only your next meeting time. Ask for each appointment and transfer to be checked against that limit, with a clear plan for anything that cannot fit. An appointment request cannot guarantee a particular finish time.
What if the specialist is available only after my free morning?
Ask whether another clinically appropriate appointment is available or whether the consultation needs a different day. Keep the check-up and specialist request separately confirmed. Do not assume that a morning check-up reservation also reserves an afternoon doctor or that the appointment can be shortened.
Can a specialist see me before my new check-up results are ready?
Ask the receiving specialist whether an initial consultation can use the information already available and whether a later results review would be needed. Confirm the purpose and fee of each appointment. A same-day consultation may not include discussion of results that have not yet been issued.
Can I complete the check-up in one city and the specialist visit in another?
You can request that arrangement, but both providers must accept their part. Confirm which records the second provider needs and when they will be available. Allow for separate registration, language support, fees and any clinician-requested review rather than treating the two cities as one booking.
What should be recorded if I have to leave before every booked item is completed?
Ask for a written list of completed, outstanding and cancelled items, together with the agreed next step and any price adjustment. Confirm whether the remaining item has a new appointment or still awaits availability. Leaving the hospital does not establish that the package or report handover is complete.
Can I fit a hospital visit into a visa-free or transit stay?
Only if your entry conditions and confirmed appointments allow it.
Check the official rules that apply to your passport, route, permitted stay and travel area before relying on a hospital plan. An enquiry or appointment does not grant immigration permission. Ask for a feasible visit schedule after those travel conditions are clear.
Can I leave the hospital between morning tests and a later appointment?
Ask the hospital before leaving.
Check which examinations are still outstanding, whether the clinical team requires you to remain on site, and your return time and contact route. A gap in the schedule is not automatically free time; preparation or monitoring instructions may still apply.
Can my blood tests and later scan have different preparation instructions?
Yes; obtain instructions for each booked examination.
Ask the clinical team to reconcile the sequence, including when food, water or medicines are allowed. Do not extend fasting or alter medicines to make two generic instruction sheets fit. The coordinator can collect the questions, while the responsible provider confirms the plan.
Which time zone should appear on my appointment itinerary?
Use the confirmed appointment time in China, UTC+8.
If you also record your home time, label both time zones and calendar dates. Keep flight arrival time, hospital check-in and the appointment itself separate. Ask the team to resolve any conflicting date or time before you travel.
What if I will not have a locally reachable phone number on the visit day?
Agree a workable contact arrangement before the appointment.
Ask how hospital notices, delays and the meeting point will be communicated, and whether the proposed contact method meets that hospital’s registration needs. Email access or hotel Wi-Fi alone may not solve every on-site step; have the actual arrangement confirmed.
Who should I tell if I change hotels during my stay?
Tell the coordination team if the change affects your visit arrangements.
Confirm whether the meeting point, travel estimate or separately agreed transfer needs updating. A new hotel address does not change the hospital appointment automatically. Use the agreed private contact channel for accommodation details rather than a public comment or review.
Does the MRI scan time include check-in and the safety assessment?
Not necessarily; ask for the full appointment timeline.
Separate arrival, registration, safety review, preparation, the scan and any required observation. Confirm the time you may leave with the hospital, especially if another appointment follows. A quoted scanner slot alone is not a reliable departure time.
Can I have medicine to relax for MRI and then travel alone?
Ask the clinical team about recovery and escort requirements first.
Such medicine can change the arrangements after the scan. Do not assume you can leave alone, drive or continue a tight travel schedule. Have the provider confirm its instructions and a suitable accompanying person before accepting this plan.
Tests, scans and clinical questions
48 questions
Can I arrange an MRI in China?
You can ask about a hospital-confirmed MRI arrangement, including a package addition where offered. Specify the body region and any relevant previous results. The imaging team decides suitability and safety requirements, including information about implants or possible pregnancy; the scope, appointment and price need confirmation.
Does one MRI region include whole-body or bilateral imaging?
Whole-body imaging is not included in the single-region offer. Bilateral scope depends on the examination order: specify left, right or both and confirm the scope and price with the hospital. A general MRI label does not establish the extent of imaging or whether more than one region is required.
Does a listed chest CT include contrast or coronary CT angiography?
Only the examination explicitly listed is included. Chest CT, contrast-enhanced CT, coronary CT angiography and coronary calcium scoring are separate requests. Ask the clinical team to confirm the appropriate protocol, preliminary assessment and complete price before accepting an addition. The provider also confirms suitability and preparation.
Can I add gastroscopy or colonoscopy?
You can request a hospital assessment for either procedure. The provider must confirm suitability, preparation, appointment and recovery arrangements. Ask separately about sedation, an accompanying adult, biopsy or pathology charges, and later reports; these are not automatically included in every check-up or endoscopy quote.
Does a package rule out cancer?
No package can provide that assurance. Ask a qualified clinician which screening, if any, fits your circumstances and what each test can and cannot show. Screening can have false-positive or false-negative results and other limitations. A longer commercial test list is not a personalised screening recommendation.
Can I remove a test I recently had?
Ask the hospital to review the previous result and the exact item you want changed. It decides whether omission or replacement is clinically appropriate. The provider must separately confirm the revised package and price; declining an examination does not automatically create a discount or partial refund.
What if I have symptoms already?
Ask for the appropriate clinical assessment when your concern involves symptoms or an earlier abnormal result. The hospital may recommend a consultation or a different examination route. A preventive package alone should not be assumed to answer the concern; we can help coordinate the provider’s review.
Are men’s packages right for every man?
No. A men’s package label does not make every listed test appropriate for every man. Review the actual examinations, age or eligibility conditions and personal concerns with the clinical team. Ask about any necessary change and its price before confirming the package.
Should I repeat every package item each year?
Ask your clinician which examinations are appropriate now and which earlier results remain useful. Bring your previous test list and any outstanding follow-up recommendations. An annual visit does not establish a universal testing schedule, and last year’s package or price still needs reconfirmation.
Can I arrange TCM with a health check?
Yes, you can ask about coordinating both, but each appointment needs confirmation. Clarify the location, timetable, consultation charge and required preparation. Medicines, acupuncture or other treatments are separate unless expressly included and approved; booking the consultation does not commit you to them.
What does the Ren’ai US$150 MRI add-on include?
The US$150 addition covers MRI of one body region with a Ren’ai health-check package in Shanghai. It includes the doctor’s order, English accompaniment, the hospital’s Chinese report with English translation, and DICOM images. Contrast costs extra. The hospital must confirm the region, suitability and availability.
Can I book the US$150 Ren’ai MRI without a check-up?
No. This specific offer is available only alongside a Ren’ai health-check package; it is not a standalone MRI appointment or a national scan price. If you need another arrangement, ask for a separate provider-confirmed plan and quote before relying on its availability or cost.
Should I add an MRI charge if my package already includes MRI?
Check the exact included region first. Ren’ai Select 03 packages list one region chosen from the head, cervical spine or lumbar spine. Do not add another charge for that same included examination. An additional region or different protocol needs hospital acceptance and its own agreed scope and price.
What should a separate CT quote include?
Request the accepted body region and protocol, scan charge, any contrast, preliminary tests, consultation or doctor’s order, and appointment charges. Also agree English support, translation and image access. A whole-package price does not establish a standalone CT price or cover every item on that checklist.
Does a stool blood test mean colonoscopy is included?
No. Check the examination name in the package: a stool blood test or FIT does not establish that colonoscopy is included. If colonoscopy is what you want to discuss, name it explicitly so the hospital can review the request and confirm its appointment, preparation and quote.
Does “breast screening” mean mammography is included?
Ask which examination the package actually lists. Broad wording such as breast screening does not confirm mammography, ultrasound or MRI. The hospital should assess the suitable examination and clarify any additional appointment, preparation or cost before you accept the plan.
Who decides which examinations are suitable for me?
The healthcare provider makes the clinical decisions. MyChinaCheckup helps organise the request, appointments and agreed language support. Our coordinators do not diagnose or prescribe. If a package raises a medical question, ask for the hospital’s review before finalising the examination scope.
Can I bring test results from my home country?
Yes. Ask the receiving hospital which previous reports and images it needs and how to send them privately. Keep examination dates, original units and reference ranges visible. Confirm both that files can be opened and that the clinical team has reviewed them; sending records alone does not establish review.
How should I raise a family-history concern?
Ask for clinical advice about the specific concern before adding tests. Share relevant history and previous results through the agreed private channel. A family-history concern does not automatically establish that a particular scan or package is suitable; request a clear purpose and scope for any proposed examination.
Can I request an allergy consultation without buying a broad test panel?
You can ask for a consultation-led arrangement. Explain that you want the clinician to assess the concern before deciding on tests, then confirm provider availability and the consultation price. MyChinaCheckup coordinates the appointment; it does not select an allergy panel or diagnose an allergy.
What should an allergy enquiry say before I share private medical records?
Include your city, available dates and the allergy concern or special requirements you want to discuss. You can describe your needs in the optional enquiry notes. Ask which department can review the request and how to provide supporting records through the agreed private channel.
Does a history of recurring infections mean I should buy an immune-system test package?
The enquiry alone does not establish which tests are appropriate. Ask the hospital for a clinical assessment and let the doctor decide what information or examinations are needed. Any proposed tests should have a clear scope and price before you approve them; a coordinator cannot prescribe an investigation plan.
Can an allergy or infection-related test be booked before a doctor has reviewed my medicines?
Ask the responsible clinical team to confirm its review and preparation requirements before treating the test appointment as ready. Share the medicine information it requests privately. Do not stop or alter medicines to fit an appointment based on advice from a package description or coordinator.
Can I ask a clinician to review an existing allergy panel rather than order another one?
Yes, you can request review of existing results. Confirm that the chosen provider accepts this type of consultation and which original reports or background information it needs. The clinician decides whether further investigation is useful; an existing panel does not automatically require an identical repeat.
Can a health-check package replace the tests requested by my surgical team?
Ask the treating surgical team whether the exact examinations, dates, laboratory documents and provider meet its requirements. A commercial package should not be presented as a substitute for a procedure-specific plan. Any missing items or required changes need confirmation before you book.
Will a routine check-up report include clearance for an elective procedure?
Do not assume that it will. Ask the treating team who must provide clearance and what assessment or documentation is required. MyChinaCheckup can coordinate an accepted request, but it cannot issue medical clearance or promise that a screening report will be accepted for that purpose.
Who should confirm when a check-up can take place after a procedure?
Ask the treating clinician for clearance or relevant instructions and have the receiving hospital review the proposed check-up. Appointment availability alone does not establish suitable timing. There is no universal interval promised by this service; the plan remains provisional until the responsible clinical teams have advised.
What if the check-up preparation instructions differ from my surgical team’s instructions?
Ask the responsible clinicians to resolve the difference before proceeding. Give them the actual instructions and proposed examination list through the agreed private channel. A coordinator can help relay the issue, but should not choose between conflicting medical instructions or change your treatment plan.
Do I need another review if my situation changes after the proposed timing was accepted?
Tell the treating and receiving clinical teams about a relevant change and ask whether the previous plan still applies. Do not rely only on an earlier administrative confirmation. Once the clinical position is clarified, reconfirm any affected examinations, dates, preparation and charges with the coordinator.
How recent must a previous test be for the hospital to consider it?
Ask the receiving clinician about the specific test and purpose. There is no single validity period that this service can apply to every result. Provide the examination date and complete report so the hospital can decide whether it is useful for the present appointment.
Can a screenshot replace the original report when I want to avoid duplicate tests?
Ask the receiving hospital which format and details it needs. A screenshot may omit pages or information needed for review. Request the original document or accepted file format where available, and confirm receipt before assuming the earlier examination can be used in the revised plan.
How can I check whether a package item is the same as a test I already had?
List the previous examination beside the proposed package item and ask the hospital to confirm whether the method, body region and purpose match. Similar English names can hide different scopes. Use the clinician’s review and the accepted revised list rather than removing an item solely because the names look alike.
What can I ask if the clinician proposes repeating a recent examination?
Ask what question the repeat would address, whether the earlier records are sufficient and whether timing or a different method is relevant. These are questions for the clinician. If you agree to the revised examination, confirm its cost and appointment arrangements before proceeding.
Should the revised price be confirmed before I accept a plan that omits recent tests?
Yes. Ask for the final examination list and payable total together so you can review the change as a whole. The hospital’s decision to omit an item and its commercial adjustment are separate matters. Do not calculate an assumed refund by dividing the package price by its number of tests.
Does an overseas doctor’s MRI request automatically authorise a scan at a Chinese hospital?
Ask the receiving hospital how it handles external requests and whether its own consultation or order is required. Provide the relevant request privately for review. The hospital must confirm the accepted examination, safety requirements and appointment; carrying a referral does not by itself confirm access to the scanner.
Can I choose MRI contrast as an optional upgrade?
Ask the hospital clinician to decide whether contrast is appropriate for the examination. It should not be presented as an automatic upgrade selected by a coordinator. If contrast is ordered, confirm any required assessment, preparation and additional charges for that location before accepting the revised plan.
What happens to the quote if the doctor orders a different scan from the one I requested?
Ask for the accepted scan and a revised itemised price before proceeding. The original estimate may no longer describe the body region, protocol or services being arranged. MRI pricing is location-specific; an offer at one hospital should not be carried over to a different provider or examination.
Does an English translation of an imaging report include a specialist second opinion?
No. Translation communicates the issued report; a specialist opinion is a separate clinical service. If you want another clinician to review the images or advise on care, ask for that consultation explicitly and confirm the required files, appointment, language support and fee.
Can I book a specialist appointment immediately after a scan to discuss the result?
Ask both services whether the report or image review needed for that consultation will be available in time. A completed scan does not establish that the report has been issued or reviewed. Confirm the sequence and a fallback arrangement before relying on consecutive appointments.
Does a request for “spine MRI” specify the full examination?
No; the exact spinal region and protocol still need confirmation.
Ask the ordering clinician to identify the intended area and the clinical question, then match the hospital order, appointment and quoted scope. Do not infer that a general spine label covers every spinal region or a whole-body examination.
Can a CT scan replace an MRI simply because it is available sooner?
Only the responsible clinician can approve an appropriate alternative.
Ask whether the proposed examination answers the same clinical question, what preparation changes, and whether the price or follow-up plan changes. Availability alone does not establish that two imaging methods are interchangeable.
Who resolves a mismatch between the body region on my referral and the quote?
The ordering clinician and receiving imaging team must resolve it.
Send the discrepancy through the agreed private channel before paying for or attending the scan. Ask for one consistent order, body region, side where relevant, and written scope. A coordinator should not choose the anatomical area on your behalf.
Must I declare an implant if I have had an MRI elsewhere before?
Yes; tell the receiving MRI team about the device.
A previous scan does not replace the current safety assessment. Provide the implant card or identifying information through the hospital’s requested route, so the team can check the device and the conditions for the proposed examination.
What if I cannot find the model details for an implanted device?
Tell the MRI team before the appointment is treated as ready.
Ask which records it needs and whether the implanting provider can supply them. An unknown safety status should not be treated as clearance. Keep the scan conditional until the responsible team has resolved the information it requires.
Can I ask for help with claustrophobia before an MRI?
Yes; raise the concern before booking the scan.
Ask the hospital what support or assessment it can offer for the specific examination. A different scanner or medicine is not automatically available or suitable. The provider must confirm any clinical arrangement and its separate timing or cost.
Can I request a specialist review of existing scan images before booking a new MRI?
Yes, ask whether the specialist will accept a records-review appointment.
Confirm which original images, reports and clinical information are needed, how they will be accessed and the review fee. The clinician may still recommend another examination; sending images does not establish that a new scan will be unnecessary.
Can two MRI regions be booked back to back?
You can request it, subject to clinical and scheduling confirmation.
The hospital must accept the order for each region and confirm the sequence, total appointment time and complete price. One appointment or single-region offer should not be assumed to include the second examination.
Are mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI interchangeable package items?
No; the appropriate examination depends on the clinical purpose.
Ask the clinician which test is indicated and confirm the exact item in the package or separate quote. An ultrasound listing does not include mammography or MRI by implication, and requesting more imaging is not a personalised screening plan.
Reports and follow-up
28 questions
When will I receive English reports?
The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. Consultations, treatment, pathology and other services outside that package have separate arrangements; their reports are not automatically covered by this delivery period.
Can reports arrive after I leave China?
Yes. Agree electronic delivery and the contact details to use before you leave China. The package’s Chinese report and full English translation follow the stated delivery period after all listed examinations are completed. Confirm any outstanding documents, original-paper collection or separately arranged reports before departure.
Can I get the actual scan images?
A written imaging report and the actual scan image files are different deliverables. Confirm whether DICOM or another format is available, how to access it and how long access lasts. Agree the image handover separately rather than assuming that a translated report contains the full image set.
Who explains the medical results?
The hospital or another qualified clinician explains the medical meaning of your results and recommends any care. Translation and coordination do not include diagnosis or prescribing. Ask whether a clinical review is included or requires a separate appointment, and confirm its language arrangements, price and timing.
What if a result is abnormal?
Ask the healthcare provider what the finding means and whether any follow-up is needed. Our team can help coordinate a requested review, but further appointments, tests or treatment require separate confirmation. Do not infer a diagnosis from a highlighted result or wait for routine coordination when urgent care is needed.
When does the 3–5-working-day report period start?
The 3–5-working-day period starts after all examinations listed in the confirmed package are completed. A postponed listed examination changes that completion date. The visit-completion signature does not mean reports have already been delivered. This is a working-day period; public holidays and services outside the package have separate arrangements.
What if my English report has an unclear term or an incorrect detail?
Contact the team with your booking reference and the relevant page or wording. The original Chinese report can be checked against the translation and a correction or clarification requested. Questions about the medical meaning of a result belong with the clinician rather than being resolved by translation alone.
What should I do if a report or file is missing?
Compare what you received with the agreed delivery list. Contact the team with your reference and the document or file name so the issuer and remaining delivery can be checked. Confirm an expected date for the outstanding item rather than assuming all separately arranged reports arrive together.
How can I avoid relying on a Chinese phone number to access reports after I leave?
Before departure, ask which delivery or access route will work with the contact details you will still use overseas. Check any login or verification requirements and confirm an alternative if needed. Agree how the Chinese originals and full English translation will reach you, rather than relying only on a hospital app.
Can I use early individual results for an overseas appointment while the complete report is pending?
Ask the issuing provider whether it can release the specific documents and make clear that the complete report is still outstanding. Check with your overseas clinician what is needed for the appointment. Partial results should be labelled accurately and should not be described as a completed package report.
How should we arrange a report discussion across time zones?
State the date, time and time zone for both locations, and confirm the clinician’s actual availability. Check the contact method while it is still usable overseas. A proposed discussion remains unconfirmed until the provider accepts it; report delivery and translation do not automatically include a remote consultation.
Is an online consultation after I leave China automatically included?
No remote consultation should be assumed unless it is expressly confirmed. Ask the provider whether it can offer a review for someone in your destination, how it will work and what it costs. Translation and electronic report delivery do not themselves include a medical consultation.
Can my reports be sent directly to my doctor overseas?
You can request this, but first confirm the recipient, the exact records and the agreed transfer method. Your permission should be clear before medical information is shared. Also ask your doctor whether the documents and image formats can be accepted; direct transfer does not establish that a clinical review has taken place.
How should different names or spellings across old and new records be handled?
Tell the receiving hospital about the discrepancy and ask what identifying information it needs through the agreed private channel. Preserve the original documents and ask the issuer about any correction. Do not silently alter a report or rely on a translation to change the identity recorded by the hospital.
What if my overseas appointment is sooner than the usual report-delivery window?
Tell the team about the deadline before booking and ask what can actually be confirmed. The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in the confirmed package are completed. Services outside that package have separate arrangements. Do not assume an earlier deadline can be met.
What should a visit-completion signature confirm when reports are still pending?
It should accurately record the services completed and any outstanding items at that stage. It should not be described as your acknowledgement that pending reports have already arrived. If the record is inaccurate or unclear, ask for it to be corrected or explained before signing.
Can an error in the original Chinese report be fixed only in the English translation?
Ask the issuing hospital to review an apparent error in its original report. The translation should remain traceable to the correct source document and should not conceal a discrepancy. Once the hospital resolves the issue, request the corresponding translated version and identify which document supersedes the earlier one.
What should I check before a report or image-download link expires?
Ask how long access lasts, whether files can be saved and whether the intended clinician can open the required format. Arrange a permitted copy through the agreed delivery route while it is available. Keep a list of received and outstanding files so an expiring link does not hide a missing deliverable.
Can I request the imaging order as well as the report and images?
Ask the hospital which documents it can release.
List the order or referral, radiology report and image files as separate requested items. Confirm the format, collection route and any applicable charge. Keeping these records together can help the receiving clinician identify what was requested and actually performed.
Are comments made just after a scan the final radiology report?
Do not treat informal comments as the final issued report.
Ask whether a written result is preliminary or final, who issued it and when the final document is expected. Arrange any specialist review around the documents that clinician requires. Translation does not turn an informal comment into a formal diagnostic report.
Should the English report preserve units, reference ranges and abnormal-result flags?
Yes; check those details against the original document.
Ask for any omission or unclear translation to be reviewed. Values should remain linked to the units and ranges supplied by the issuing laboratory; translation is not permission to replace them with another laboratory’s ranges or a new medical interpretation.
Can the coordinator explain a difference between results from two laboratories?
A qualified clinician should interpret the difference.
Provide the complete original reports, including dates, units, methods where available and reference ranges. Different laboratories may use different methods or ranges. Coordination and translation can organise the records, but should not decide whether a numerical change represents a medical change.
Will the English translation automatically carry a hospital stamp or certification?
No; confirm the document type your recipient requires.
The hospital-issued Chinese report and the accompanying English translation are distinct documents. Ask whether hospital endorsement, a certified translation or another formal requirement is needed and available. Do not assume a translated package report meets every insurer, employer or authority’s rules.
Does the French, German or Spanish website mean my reports are translated into that language?
The regular included report translation remains English.
If you need another language, ask the team to confirm availability, scope, delivery and any additional cost before booking. The language of a website page does not change the agreed language of hospital support or report translation.
How can I match a translated page to its Chinese original and scan files?
Keep the identifying details for each document together.
Ask for a handover list showing the patient identifier used by the provider, examination date, document type and corresponding original file. Check page completeness and keep each person’s records separate. The hospital controls its own record numbers and file names.
Does receiving DICOM files mean they will open on my phone?
Not necessarily; check the receiving clinician’s access requirements.
DICOM is a medical-imaging information standard. Ask what viewer or transfer route is needed, whether the complete image series is supplied, and how to test access before a link expires. A picture preview or screenshot is a different deliverable from the original image set.
How should a corrected report be distinguished from an earlier copy?
Ask for the corrected version and a clear record of what it replaces.
Keep the issuing provider’s correction details with the document and ask whether the translation also needs updating. Tell any authorised clinician who received the earlier version. Do not silently edit a hospital report or leave two conflicting versions without explanation.
Do I need printed reports for my appointment after returning home?
Check with the receiving clinic before you leave.
Ask whether it accepts electronic originals and translations, needs printed or stamped documents, or requires the full imaging files. Arrange any hospital collection request in time. The coordination team cannot guarantee another provider’s document-acceptance requirements.
Family and individual needs
29 questions
Can my partner come with me?
You can request a companion, but hospitals have different access rules for waiting areas and examination rooms. Explain the support you need and confirm where the person may stay, how you will meet again and who will communicate during any part they cannot attend.
Can a couple book the same morning?
Yes, you can request the same hospital and morning for two people. Each person needs a confirmed plan, and different tests can produce different finish times. Agree how English accompaniment will cover both routes, the meeting point afterwards and any separate appointments before treating it as one shared schedule.
Can an older visitor request mobility support?
Yes. Describe practical needs such as walking distance, wheelchair use, seating and transfers between departments. Ask the selected hospital to confirm the route and who will assist before booking. English accompaniment does not automatically include lifting, nursing or personal care; those needs require separate arrangements.
Can I ask for a female clinician or chaperone?
Yes. Make the request when planning and ask the hospital to confirm availability for the relevant examination. A women’s package does not guarantee a particular clinician. You can also request a private conversation and an explanation of how consent will be handled in a language you understand.
Can I help arrange a check-up for a parent while I am overseas?
Yes. Start with the visitor’s wishes, intended attendee and practical support needs. Agree who will communicate with the team and who will assist in person. Your help with booking does not replace the visitor’s consent or automatically authorise you to receive their medical information.
Can my partner and I choose different examinations?
Yes, you can request different plans while attending together. Each person needs their own accepted examination list, registration, price and clinical review. Confirm how accompaniment covers both routes and whether finish times differ. A shared payment does not automatically authorise sharing either person’s medical information.
Are meals, hotels or airport and hospital transfers included?
Only if your written plan expressly includes them. Do not assume that a hospital brochure’s transport or hospitality services form part of your package. Ask for each requested meal, transfer or accommodation arrangement and any charge to be confirmed before relying on it.
Does VIP coordination mean a VIP ward or priority medical access?
VIP describes the individual coordination and accompaniment included in your agreed service. It does not automatically provide a hospital VIP ward, queue-free care or priority medical access. The hospital controls its clinical arrangements and availability; ask about a specific requirement before confirming your visit.
Does English accompaniment include lifting, nursing or personal care?
No such assistance should be assumed. English accompaniment covers the communication and visit support agreed in your plan. Describe any lifting, transfers, personal-care or nursing needs separately so the provider can confirm who can help, the available arrangements and any additional cost.
Can I request support for hearing, vision or communication needs?
Yes. Tell us what helps, such as written instructions, larger text, a quieter explanation or having a companion present. These are requests for the selected hospital to confirm. Raise essential requirements before payment so you can assess whether the proposed visit is workable.
What if my appointment overlaps with my period or I might be pregnant?
Tell the hospital privately before finalising the examinations and timing. The clinical team should advise which booked items can proceed and whether any need a different date. Do not assume the whole visit must be cancelled; also clarify any effect on the package and charges.
Can I book one of the listed adult packages for a child?
Do not assume an adult package is suitable or that it establishes paediatric availability. A parent or guardian should first request an appropriate clinical assessment and an accepting provider. Confirm the child-specific service, consent requirements, preparation and quote before any appointment is agreed.
I have a previous women’s imaging result to review. Should I request follow-up or a routine package?
Describe the goal as review of an existing result and ask the hospital to confirm the appropriate consultation route. A routine package can be discussed separately if you also want one. The clinician decides whether further imaging is needed; the package name alone does not answer the follow-up question.
Does a confirmed female specialist mean the imaging appointment will also have female staff?
Not automatically. Specify which part of the visit your preference applies to: the consultation, imaging, examination or chaperone. Ask the hospital to confirm each essential arrangement before booking. Separate departments may have different staffing, even on the same morning.
What should I send before a follow-up imaging appointment?
Ask the receiving clinical team which previous reports, image files and relevant instructions it needs. Use the agreed private channel and confirm that the files can be accessed before relying on a comparison appointment. The clinician should determine whether the material is sufficient or further records are needed.
Will the specialist who sees me also perform the imaging examination?
Ask how the selected hospital organises those services. A consultation and an imaging examination may involve different clinicians and appointments. Confirm who issues the imaging report, who discusses its meaning with you and whether that discussion is included in the appointment you are booking.
What happens if my essential female-clinician preference cannot be confirmed for my travel dates?
Ask about another appointment or provider before accepting a plan that does not meet your requirement. Keep any alternative clearly marked as a proposal until you approve it and the hospital confirms. A request for a particular clinician or chaperone should not be recorded as fulfilled while availability remains uncertain.
What if one partner needs an additional appointment but the other has finished?
Ask how the additional appointment affects accompaniment, waiting arrangements and each person’s departure plans. Confirm that extra service and its price separately. One person’s completed check-up does not mean the other person’s remaining consultation or examination has been completed.
How will English support work if our appointments are in different departments at the same time?
Ask for a practical coverage plan before confirming the shared date. It should identify who supports each appointment and how any overlap will be handled. Do not assume one companion can be present in two consultation rooms simultaneously or that every clinician will speak English.
Can one partner approve paid additions or medical decisions for the other?
Each adult should review their own proposed services and give the consent required by the hospital. A shared booking or payment does not automatically authorise one person to make medical decisions for the other. Ask about any formal representative arrangement separately if one is needed.
Does a women’s package automatically include both HPV testing and cervical cytology?
No; check the exact tests and testing pathway.
HPV testing and examining cervical cells address different parts of screening. Ask which test is listed, whether further testing is conditional on an earlier result, and what is included in the price. The clinician should consider your previous screening before advising what is due.
Is routine cervical screening the right appointment for unusual vaginal bleeding?
Describe the symptom and request clinical assessment.
Do not wait for a routine screening appointment to address a new concern. Tell the provider what needs evaluation so it can decide the appropriate appointment and urgency. A screening package does not replace assessment of symptoms.
Does “pelvic ultrasound” always mean an internal vaginal examination?
No; the examination can use different approaches.
Ask whether the proposed scan is through the abdomen, vaginal or another specified approach, and why that method is suitable. Confirm preparation, consent and staffing preferences before agreeing to the appointment; a broad package label does not answer these questions.
Can I decline an internal ultrasound and discuss another approach?
Yes, ask the clinician to explain your options before deciding.
Make your preference clear during planning and again before the examination. The provider should explain what an alternative can and cannot assess, whether it is appropriate, and any change to the plan or price. Do not assume different approaches are equivalent.
If my period starts, can other booked tests proceed while cervical sampling is rearranged?
Ask the hospital to review the appointment item by item.
Routine cervical sampling is generally planned outside a period, but that does not decide the timing of every other examination. Confirm which items may proceed, which need another date, and how any unfinished item affects the written plan.
Should I mention breastfeeding when requesting breast imaging?
Yes; tell the clinical team before the imaging plan is agreed.
Ask which examination is appropriate for your purpose and whether any preparation or appointment arrangement changes. Do not assume that a routine package label or a previous imaging plan answers the question for your current circumstances.
Can I request more time or ask to pause an intimate examination?
Yes; discuss comfort and communication needs with the treating team.
Ask before booking whether extra time or support can be arranged. During the examination, tell the clinician if you need an explanation, a pause or want to stop. Staffing and appointment length need confirmation; a package purchase is not blanket consent.
Does a pelvic ultrasound package include a fertility assessment?
Do not assume that it does.
Ask whether you need a separate fertility or gynaecology consultation and which questions it will address. A listed scan does not by itself include the history review, further investigations or counselling that a clinician may propose. Confirm each accepted service and fee.
Does reaching menopause mean I should buy a large hormone-test panel?
Not automatically; start with a clinical discussion.
Describe the concerns you want addressed, relevant medicines and previous results. The clinician decides whether tests would help and which other health issues deserve review. A commercial hormone bundle is not a universal menopause assessment; do not stop treatment to prepare without medical instructions.
Privacy and referrals
9 questions
Should I put medical records or passport details in the enquiry form?
You can describe your needs or concerns in optional notes. No passport information or payment is needed for the initial enquiry. After you accept a written plan, the coordinator requests only the passport information needed by the hospital, through an agreed private channel. Do not put passport or card details in this form.
Will my medical information be published as a story?
Sending an enquiry does not authorise publication of your identity or medical details. Public stories use approved public material or anonymous accounts under the site’s editorial approach. If you are asked to contribute a story, clarify the proposed information and permissions separately from booking your visit.
Will my enquiry details be shared with a hospital?
Relevant details may be shared with the selected hospital or service provider when you ask us to coordinate an appointment. We explain additional information needed before that step. Hospitals handle clinical information under their own policies, so ask about the receiving provider’s process when arranging care.
Does a referral notification include my personal enquiry details?
No. The current dedicated-link notice describes a notification containing only a random referral number and a new-enquiry count of one. It excludes your name, contact details, plans and message, and cannot be used to look up customer details. Read the notice shown before submitting your enquiry.
Does using a referral link automatically give me a discount?
No. A referral code does not by itself change your written quote or create a discount. Review the named package, included services and any separately priced additions in your own proposal. Any offer that applies should be stated clearly before you pay.
Can I enquire without accepting optional analytics?
Yes. Rejecting optional analytics and advertising measurement does not prevent an enquiry. You can change your selection using the website’s privacy choices. If you open WhatsApp or your email application instead, that external service handles the interaction under its own privacy practices.
How do I ask for correction or deletion of my enquiry information?
Email hello@accesschinamed.com with your request. Depending on applicable law, you may be able to request access, correction or deletion. The team may need to verify identity and explain retention obligations or other limits; deletion should not be assumed to remove hospital records held separately.
Can I choose who receives my reports when my partner pays for the visit?
Yes; state your report-sharing instructions separately from payment.
Tell the team the authorised recipient and delivery contact, and ask how the hospital handles any required consent. A shared booking or payment should not be treated as permission to send one adult’s medical documents to another.
Can I request password-protected report delivery?
Ask which secure delivery options are available.
Agree the delivery address, authorised recipient and how access information will be communicated. Do not assume that every hospital portal or file format offers the same controls. The team should confirm the method it can actually use for your documents.
Changes, refunds and concerns
10 questions
What are the cancellation terms?
For amounts already paid, cancel at least 48 hours before the confirmed appointment for a full refund, measured against China time, UTC+8. With less notice, only actual non-refundable provider costs already incurred are deducted, with the eligible balance refunded. Contact your coordinator to request a change or refund.
What should I do if my flight changes after booking?
Contact the coordinator promptly with your booking reference, original appointment and revised arrival time. Suggest alternative dates in China time and wait for a revised confirmation. Hospital availability and any disclosed third-party costs still apply; a travel change does not automatically move the appointment.
Can I change the appointment date without a fee?
One reschedule is available without a coordination change fee, subject to hospital availability. Any third-party costs already incurred are disclosed before you accept the new arrangement. Contact your coordinator promptly with your booking reference and preferred dates; a new date still needs confirmation.
How do I request a refund, and when will it arrive?
Contact your coordinator or hello@accesschinamed.com with your booking reference and appointment time. We confirm the applicable amount, refund method and expected processing time in writing. Payment-provider timing varies, so there is no universal arrival date. Never send card details in the request.
Who should I contact if my plan or charge looks wrong?
Contact the coordination team promptly and identify the booking, disputed item or incorrect detail. Keep the accepted quote and approved changes available so the issue can be checked. Questions about clinical decisions belong with the healthcare provider; the coordinator can help communicate the concern.
Does moving an appointment automatically extend the validity of my quote?
No; ask for the revised date and total to be reconfirmed.
Check whether the accepted package, provider and inclusions remain the same, and whether any stated quote deadline applies. Keep the published change and cancellation terms alongside the updated plan; a date change alone is not a promise to freeze every price.
If one department reschedules, does my whole visit move automatically?
Ask for an updated plan covering every affected appointment.
Confirm which bookings remain valid, the revised sequence, any preparation changes and the effect on travel or report review. Do not assume a message about one slot cancels or moves the others. Any proposed charge should be explained under the applicable terms.
Can I cancel an optional addition while keeping the base package?
You can request it; confirm the revised scope and financial position.
Identify the specific addition and ask what has already been arranged, which terms apply and the resulting payable or refundable amount. Removing an item does not automatically produce a per-test credit. Wait for a clear written revision before relying on the changed plan.
Can I receive one written summary after several booking changes?
Yes, ask for a consolidated confirmation.
It should identify the current hospital and campus, appointment times, accepted tests, support, total, payment status and outstanding decisions. Check it against earlier changes so that both you and the team use the same plan on the visit day.
What if the hospital and coordinator give different change or cancellation instructions?
Ask for the conflict to be resolved promptly in writing.
Provide the booking reference and the two instructions, and identify which service each concerns. Ask how the confirmed booking terms and any actual provider costs apply. Do not assume a verbal exception waives the published policy or changes every part of the visit.
