Canton Fair Check-ups for Couples: Per-person Quotes and Total Cost
Updated · By MyChinaCheckup
A couple visiting Guangzhou for the Canton Fair can request the same campus and morning, subject to availability, while keeping separate examination plans. Ask for each person’s package, approved additions and subtotal, followed by a combined total in one currency. A shared appointment does not mean identical tests, a couples discount or shared medical records.
Use a separate quote column for each person
This blank comparison is a planning tool, not a patient quotation. Use it for two travellers or add one column per family member. Put the exact package link and hospital campus in the completed version, so that “women’s 01” at one hospital cannot be mistaken for the same label elsewhere.
| Quote line | Person A | Person B |
|---|---|---|
| Hospital / campus and package | To confirm | To confirm |
| Package price and settlement currency | To confirm | To confirm |
| Approved additional examination / scan region | None or named item + price | None or named item + price |
| Gastroscopy, if requested and clinically accepted | Not requested / pending / separately quoted | Not requested / pending / separately quoted |
| Colonoscopy, considered independently | Not requested / pending / separately quoted | Not requested / pending / separately quoted |
| Per-person subtotal | To confirm | To confirm |
| Combined amount payable | One stated currency and total for the group | Quote version / date to confirm |
The confirmed package price includes its listed examinations and consumables, personal VIP coordination, dedicated English-speaking accompaniment throughout the check-up, and the hospital’s Chinese report with full English translation. These four services should not reappear as additional charges. List genuinely unlisted examinations or other approved purchases separately. An optional line is not an instruction to perform the procedure.
What if two departments call you at the same time?
Ask how accompaniment will cover both routes before confirming the appointment. The plan may need coordinated appointment times or more than one companion; one person cannot be in two consultation rooms at once. Record the meeting point, the contact for each attendee and how a schedule change will be handled. See the two-person English-support checklist.
After a change, request a revised version showing the affected person’s new subtotal and the new group total. Keep medical consent and report recipients separate even if one person pays the bill. For a company reimbursement request, confirm the payment and invoice documents before payment.

Does the quoted price include the scans we discussed?
Ask for each agreed MRI or CT examination and its body region to appear under the right person’s name in the written plan. A scan mentioned in conversation is not necessarily part of the accepted package. Confirm its clinical assessment, appointment and total before paying.
Use the same morning, with a plan for each person
Ask the hospital about booking both visitors at the same campus and on the same morning. Each person still needs their own test selection, registration and report. Different examinations can mean different routes and finish times; confirm how English accompaniment will cover both of you.
Describe what you want to arrange without assuming both people need the same scans. The hospital should review symptoms, history and relevant screening needs privately before finalising the clinical plan.

Check five things before accepting a quote
- The exact test list for each person. Package names such as “full” or “comprehensive” do not define the clinical scope.
- Each scan and its body region. A price for one MRI region does not establish that other regions are included. Confirm any contrast-related assessment or charges with the hospital.
- Mammography and other named examinations. Ask explicitly whether the requested examination is included, requires separate booking or should first be reviewed by a clinician.
- English support and reports. Confirm accompaniment for both people, Chinese reports, English translation and any imaging-file charges.
- What changes the total. Agree how additional tests, treatment, medicines or changes to the original plan would be explained and authorised.
What does “cancer screening” actually include?
Ask for the individual examination names and why they are appropriate for you. A blood tumour-marker panel does not establish screening for every cancer or rule cancer out. The US National Cancer Institute explains that circulating tumour markers generally do not work well as screening tests on their own. A clinician should help determine appropriate screening. Read the NCI explanation.
Similarly, confirm whether “breast screening” in your proposed plan means mammography, ultrasound or another examination. Get the name written into the quote instead of inferring it from a package title.
How do we pay?
Confirm the accepted payment method, recipient, currency, full total and documents for your booking before paying. The four services described below are included in the selected, confirmed package. Unlisted additions require a separate quote and your approval. Use the payment and company-invoice checklist.
Request a written price for each person and a combined total so you can review the options together. Personal VIP coordination is already included in the confirmed package price. Only approved services outside the agreed package should appear as separately quoted additions.
