Annual Health Checks in China: Plan for Continuity
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated
If you arrange a health check during a regular visit to China, make continuity the priority. Bring the previous examination list and results for clinical review, and ask which checks are appropriate now rather than automatically repeating the largest package.
Annual is a planning rhythm, not a universal test schedule
Different examinations may be appropriate at different intervals. Ask your clinician which tests to repeat and which previous results remain useful. An annual package label should not replace that discussion, especially when your health, medicines or previous findings have changed.
Write down the date of your last check, the provider and the questions left unresolved. If a finding needed follow-up, tell the booking team so the correct clinical appointment can be considered instead of starting again with a general package.
Make this year comparable with last year
- Keep the previous official report, not only a short translated summary.
- Identify examination names, dates and any images your clinician asks to review.
- Ask whether changes in the package affect comparison with past results.
- Keep new reports with units, reference information and the issuing provider identified.
Prepare previous medical records and ask about repeating or replacing tests. The provider must confirm substitutions; removing an item does not automatically reduce a package price.
Choose a repeat visit that fits your calendar
Keeping the same campus can simplify practical planning, but confirm that the department, package and support still match your needs. A previous appointment does not reserve this year’s slot or hold last year’s price.
Compare the exact examination list and updated quote. Routine on-site time is usually 2–3.5 hours; leave space for any separately arranged consultation. Working days exclude weekends and public holidays. Services outside the listed package have separately confirmed report arrangements.
Decide who will review the results
Before the visit, agree who will interpret the results and which doctor will continue care. English translation helps with access to the records; it is not the same as a clinical review or a plan for treatment.
Confirm Chinese originals, translation, image access and the expected delivery dates. The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. If you leave earlier, agree secure electronic delivery and an outstanding-results contact.
A useful first enquiry
Send your city, travel window, previous check-up date and the practical help you need. Mention that you want clinical advice about repeating a check rather than assuming an identical plan. You can provide detailed medical records later through the agreed private route.
If your visit is also for work or tourism, plan around business commitments or your travel itinerary. Your appointment is confirmed only after the agreed booking process.
Continue planning
Start with your city and dates
Tell us the service you need and your travel window. No passport image or medical records are needed for the first enquiry. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment.
