Can foreigners get a health check in China?

Yes. Our service coordinates enquiries for international visitors in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, Sanya and Zhuhai. The chosen provider confirms registration requirements and whether it can accept your appointment. An online enquiry is a request for a plan; it does not reserve a hospital slot.

You can make the first enquiry by email without a Chinese phone number. Tell us whether you want a routine preventive check, a specific examination or help arranging a consultation. If you have symptoms or an abnormal result, identify that at the start so the request can go to the appropriate clinical service. A package is not a substitute for assessment of a health concern.

A voluntary check-up and a visa medical are different services. Confirm any official examination requirements with the authority requesting them.

Choose a city around the visit you are already making

Compare realistic appointment dates and the exact hospital campus before changing a flight or hotel. A convenient city can still involve a long journey to a particular campus. There is no single best city for every visitor: the tests, timetable and confirmed support matter more than a city ranking.

What does a China health check cost?

The table shows the lowest and highest selected package prices currently displayed on this website, with Sanya added on 10 October 2026. These are MyChinaCheckup listings, not a complete survey of hospital tariffs or an individual quote. The lowest price in a city describes one selected package; it is not the cost of every test discussed on this website.

For confirmed visits through 31 December 2026, confirm the hospital package, coordination and English accompaniment included in your agreed plan. Ask separately about additional imaging, consultations, treatment, transport and report requirements. Later visits need their applicable terms confirmed. Compare the written total and examination list, not a Basic or Advanced label.

Choose the right examination route

A routine adult package, a stand-alone examination and a clinical consultation are different requests. Use the named MRI examples, CT examples or endoscopy scope and quote checklist to check what is actually listed. A hospital’s general capabilities do not add a test to your package.

For a child, first confirm an appropriate paediatric assessment, an accepting provider and the specific services available. The adult routine packages in the directory are not a promise of paediatric care.

More tests do not automatically make a plan more suitable. The clinical team should decide which examinations fit your situation. Some advertised check-up packages contain imaging, but an MRI, CT, contrast examination or endoscopy is included only when the specific item is stated in your confirmed plan.

Booking and the day of the visit

Send the city, possible dates and main service needed. We help clarify a provider and quote. Before paying, check the recipient, currency, cancellation terms and what confirms the appointment. The hospital supplies the preparation instructions; do not change medication based on a travel guide.

For a routine check-up, plan around 2–3.5 hours on site. This is not a promise that additional scans, consultations or endoscopy can fit the same window. Confirm where to meet, which registration documents to bring and who will help with communication.

English support and reports after departure

Confirm the English-speaking accompaniment specified in your plan. A coordinator helps with practical communication and the agreed visit; the hospital provides the medical service. Do not infer that every clinician speaks English from the availability of an English coordinator.

The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. Scans, pathology or consultations outside the listed package follow separately confirmed arrangements. Agree secure delivery and image-file access before leaving, including which records your doctor at home needs.
