Shenzhen Health Check Reports After You Leave China
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated
You can plan to receive agreed check-up records after leaving Shenzhen. Before the appointment, confirm which documents you will receive, the expected dates, secure delivery and who will help if a result or file is still outstanding.
Separate examination day from report day
Routine on-site examinations usually take about 2–3.5 hours. The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. A flight the next day does not bring the report deadline forward.
Ask whether a separate scan, consultation or other examination has its own reporting schedule. If your doctor or insurer needs a document by a fixed date, raise that before booking so the feasibility can be checked.
A verified Shenzhen example
The published UK visitor story records a 14 September 2026 check-up, a separate TCM booking, reports sent on 18 September and the visitor’s acknowledgement after returning home. It demonstrates an agreed handover across departure, not a guarantee of identical timing for another person.
Read the original Shenzhen visit record. Keep historic appointment details and charges separate from your current plan.
Ask for three distinct kinds of record
- Official hospital report: identify the issuing provider and examination dates.
- Professional English translation: confirm which reports are covered and whether later reports require a further delivery.
- Medical image files: ask about availability, format and access instructions if you had imaging.
A report screenshot is not necessarily the image data your overseas doctor needs. Ask the receiving doctor about its requirements, then confirm what the provider can supply.
Set a private delivery and permissions plan
Agree the email or other delivery channel privately and check the recipient details. If a couple attends together, confirm whether each person receives their own records. Paying for another person’s visit or travelling together does not automatically establish permission to receive their report.
Before leaving, list outstanding items and their expected dates. Identify the contact for a missing document and distinguish that practical contact from the clinician who will interpret the result.
Arrange interpretation and further care
English translation makes a report readable; it does not determine what a finding means or replace a medical consultation. Ask who will review the results and what additional appointment can be arranged if needed.
If you will continue care abroad, keep the original records and translation together. Use the follow-up planning guide for questions about abnormal results and the overseas handover checklist for files and access.

Start with your city and dates
Tell us the service you need and your travel window. No passport image or medical records are needed for the first enquiry. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment.
