For a women’s health check in Shanghai, ask about the examination method and who will be present before confirming a package. Confirm the examination and the people in the room

If the confirmed clinician or room arrangement changes on the day, ask staff to explain the change before proceeding. Turn a privacy preference into a booking detail
Request a female clinician or chaperone before confirming the appointment, and ask what can actually be arranged for the selected date. English accompaniment does not mean an interpreter automatically attends every private examination. Tell the team which conversations you want to have privately with the clinician.

Make your preferences specific
Explain which examinations or conversations concern you and whether you would like a female clinician, a chaperone or privacy from a travelling companion. Ask who will be present and how English communication can be arranged.
Different preferences may require different arrangements. For example, English accompaniment during navigation does not necessarily mean the companion should remain in an examination room. Confirm your wishes with the hospital team as well as the coordinator.
