CT Scan in China for Foreigners: Booking and Report Guide

A CT appointment should begin with the clinical question and the provider’s acceptance of the requested examination. Confirm the body region, protocol, preparation and complete quote before arranging your travel day.

Use this when the named test is your main reason for visiting. Tell us your city, travel window and any existing doctor recommendation.

Ask the clinical team to confirm whether CT is appropriate and which region and protocol to request. A listed chest CT does not establish the scope of another CT examination.
Ask about review before bookingA CT request is not a general package selection
State whether a doctor has requested CT, an earlier finding needs follow-up or you are asking about screening. Bring an existing recommendation through the provider’s agreed channel. The coordinator can arrange communication, but the clinical team decides the examination.
CT uses ionizing radiation. Discuss the expected benefit and relevant risks with the clinician, including any possibility of pregnancy. The FDA explains the role and considerations of CT examinations.
Ask about the exact protocol and contrast
- Which body region and type of CT has the provider accepted?
- Is contrast part of the examination, and what assessment or preparation is required?
- Does the visit need a consultation, laboratory result or observation period?
- What safety information, previous results and medication details does the provider need privately?
Do not use a general fasting rule to prepare for all CT scans. Obtain instructions for this appointment and clarify them before the day of the visit.
Compare a complete CT quote
We do not publish an unverified stand-alone CT tariff. The accepted examination and provider determine the quote. A package price below covers the complete named package; it is not the price of this examination alone.

A confirmed check-up package includes its listed tests, personalized VIP coordination, dedicated English-speaking accompaniment throughout the check-up, and the hospital-issued Chinese report with full English translation. A separate examination or package addition needs its own agreed scope. Unlisted treatment, medicines, extra referrals and travel to another provider are not included unless expressly agreed and priced.
Full body CT is not the meaning of a full body check-up
A health-check package usually lists separate examinations. The phrase “full body” does not establish that whole-body CT is included or appropriate. The FDA cautions about whole-body CT screening in people without symptoms; see its whole-body CT information.
Use the package-scope guide to compare actual contents and the cancer-screening questions when that is your concern. Do not choose an imaging method solely because another visitor had it.
Allow for appointments and records
A next-day request can be checked, but capacity and clinical acceptance determine whether it can proceed. Do not buy non-refundable travel around an unconfirmed scan. If time is short, tell us your departure date before a provider is approached.
Agree the official report, English translation and whether DICOM image files are available, with separate access and delivery details. The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. A scan outside that package has its own confirmed reporting arrangements. Ask who will interpret the findings and how further review can be arranged after departure.

The men’s Basic 01 list specifies low-dose non-contrast chest CT with 3D reconstruction. Another body region or contrast examination needs a separately accepted request.
