Men’s Health Checks in China: Questions Before Booking

By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated

A men’s health-check label helps you find package listings, but it does not define the right examination plan for every man. Compare the actual items and discuss your concerns, previous results and family history with the provider.

Ask about my visit →

Use the package list as the starting point

Each hospital listing offers selected options. Check what changes between them instead of assuming the most expensive option is the best fit. Ask which items address your concern, which require a separate consultation and which are absent from the package.

Age alone is not enough to choose every test. A previous abnormal result or current symptom may require a different clinical appointment. Describe that need when enquiring rather than treating a routine package as a complete answer.

Prepare questions you can take to the clinician

  • Which examinations are appropriate given my history and previous results?
  • Would any recent tests make a proposed repeat unnecessary?
  • Does this concern need a specialist consultation rather than a screening item?
  • Who will explain an unclear finding, and how would follow-up be arranged?

If your concern is cancer screening, use the separate clinician-discussion guide. It does not prescribe a universal panel or screening interval.

Privacy, communication and a companion

Tell us privately if you have preferences about a clinician, chaperone or who may hear the discussion. Availability must be confirmed before booking. A companion’s presence does not automatically authorize access to your results.

Ask what the agreed English coordinator helps with and which discussions need a hospital clinician. The first enquiry can stay brief; detailed history and documents should use the provider’s appropriate private channel.

Price, timing and records

A complete quote should name the package, campus, agreed support and reports, plus separately accepted additions. Routine visits generally take 2–3.5 hours on site; MRI, CT, endoscopy or a specialist appointment can change the schedule.

The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. Ask for image files where relevant and decide who will review the results after you return home.

Choose a city-specific route

For Beijing or Chengdu, begin with the hospital comparison and your travel dates. The initial enquiry does not require a passport image or full medical record.

Start with your city and dates

Tell us the service you need and your travel window. No passport image or medical records are needed for the first enquiry. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment.
