Planning a Health Check While Visiting China?

A health check can fit into a tourist, business or family visit to China, provided the hospital accepts your registration and the tests suit your schedule. Start with your city and departure date. Confirm the exact campus, written price and report arrangements before paying.
Can a foreign visitor book a health check?
Foreign patients can register with a passport at hospitals that accept international patients. Booking methods and support differ by hospital and campus. Shanghai's official hospital guide describes passport registration and direct appointment channels; it is not a guarantee that every health-check package is available to every visitor.
You can book directly where the hospital supports it, or ask us to coordinate appointments and English support.
How much time should I leave?
Use 2–3.5 hours as a planning estimate for a routine package, then confirm the selected hospital's schedule. Extra imaging, endoscopy, clinical reviews or repeat tests may need another appointment. Same-day attendance does not mean same-day reports. Ask for a test-specific delivery date and allow space before your flight for follow-up.
Can I Get a Health Check During a One-week Guangzhou Holiday?
A routine health check may fit into a week in Guangzhou, if the selected hospital can confirm a suitable appointment and the requested examinations fit your itinerary. These four services are included in the price of your selected, confirmed package. Extra tests, treatment, medicines, transport and accommodation are not included unless expressly listed in your written plan; separately priced additions require your approval.

What does an affordable check-up really cost?

For confirmed visits through 31 December 2026, the agreed check-up total includes the hospital fee, coordination and English accompaniment specified in the plan. Services outside that plan need a separately disclosed price and your agreement. See current booking information and the written quote for your visit.
A historical individual or couples quote is not a universal package price. Compare equivalent test lists and the full trip cost before deciding whether the arrangement suits your budget.
Can two people combine their appointments?
Ask for the same morning and campus, but keep each person’s tests and reports separate. If one needs additional imaging or a consultation, the two routes may take different amounts of time. Confirm how the English support will work and whether the quoted total covers both people.

Questions before you book
Will I get every result on the same day?
Not necessarily. A routine appointment may finish in one morning. The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. Services outside the listed package need their own confirmed timeline.
Is a full-body package the same as MRI, CCTA or endoscopy?
No. Those examinations must be identified explicitly in the test list and assessed by the hospital. Their preparation, appointment requirements and price may differ from the routine package.
Can I receive the report after returning to Australia or another country?
Electronic delivery can be arranged after departure. Confirm the original report, English translation, any requested imaging files, delivery contact and who will address clinical follow-up.
An enquiry does not confirm an appointment. No medical records are needed in your first website enquiry.
Choose the city already on your itinerary
Start with Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing or Chengdu. Compare the hospital campus with your hotel and remaining travel days. A listing does not itself confirm a slot.
What will it cost?
Compare the listed packages by included examinations rather than their option number. Displayed USD amounts are reference prices; request a written total for your date, hospital and support needs.
For confirmed visits on or before 31 December 2026, the agreed price includes the hospital check-up fee, coordination and English-speaking accompaniment specified in your written plan. There is no additional charge for those included services. Tests outside the agreed package require a disclosed price and your approval before proceeding.
Treatment, medicines, transport, accommodation and unlisted tests are outside the check-up unless expressly included. Historical visitor costs below are individual examples, not current quotes.
What should I bring and confirm?
- Your original passport, appointment confirmation and exact campus/entrance instructions.
- The hospital's food, water, medicine and test-specific preparation instructions. Do not change medicines based on a travel guide.
- Written confirmation of who will assist in English and which reports will be translated.
- Your departure date and a way to receive the hospital report securely after leaving China.
Can I add MRI or another specific test?
Describe the exact body region and ask the hospital to confirm the clinical requirement, safety screening, preparation, price and availability. A general check-up does not automatically include MRI. Read our diagnostic appointment guide.
What happens if something needs follow-up?

Is this the same as a visa or work medical?
No. An official certificate may require a designated centre, fixed examinations and specific forms. A voluntary package should not be assumed to satisfy those requirements. Compare the two routes.
