Women’s Health Checks in Guangzhou: Ultrasound and H. pylori Tests
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated
For a women’s check-up in Guangzhou, compare the named tests rather than the word “comprehensive”. Some listings include breast ultrasound, a specified pelvic ultrasound and a carbon-13 breath test; others describe a different scope or leave the pelvic method unstated. Confirm the selected campus, clinical suitability and your own written plan before booking.
Which listings name breast ultrasound, pelvic ultrasound and a breath test?
The examples below come from the current MyChinaCheckup catalogue reviewed on 8 October 2026. They help you read the listed scope; they are not fresh hospital availability confirmations or recommendations to undergo all three examinations.
| Published example | Items expressly listed | Point to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Sun Yat-sen Memorial — women’s 01 | Breast/axillary ultrasound; transabdominal uterus/adnexa ultrasound; carbon-13 urea breath test. | Exact campus, eligibility, preparation and the final accepted examination list. |
| Nanfang — women’s 02 | Breast ultrasound; transabdominal uterus/adnexa ultrasound; carbon-13 urea breath test. | The breast-ultrasound source line excludes images; ask which report and image deliverables are supplied. |
| Guangdong Clifford — women’s Basic 01 | Bilateral breast ultrasound; uterus/adnexa/pelvis ultrasound; carbon-13 H. pylori breath test. | The pelvic route is not specified in the source. Ask whether it is abdominal or vaginal before consenting. |
Breast ultrasound does not imply that mammography is included. Likewise, a generic H. pylori entry is not enough to establish the test method: ask for the name of the booked test. MedlinePlus explains that H. pylori testing can involve breath, stool or other methods, and that medicines can affect preparation. Request instructions for your actual appointment; do not change medicines from a package description. MedlinePlus: H. pylori tests.
If your priority is a current symptom or follow-up of an earlier finding, explain that priority so the hospital can decide whether a clinical consultation is needed. A screening bundle and a diagnostic visit answer different questions. If you also want gastroscopy, ask for it as a separate request, with its assessment and price clearly recorded. Colonoscopy should have its own decision and quoted line rather than being assumed part of a “digestive” add-on.
Before accepting a plan, compare the full seven-hospital Guangzhou directory, our test-specific preparation questions and the report handover checklist.
I am around 50. What should a comprehensive women’s check-up include?
Ask for an itemised list and a discussion of what is due for you. Explain relevant previous results, family history, medicines and any new concerns to the clinical team. “Comprehensive” describes a bundle, not a promise to test for every disease.
| Topic to discuss | Question to ask before paying |
|---|---|
| Breast screening | Does the plan specify mammography, ultrasound or another examination, and which is appropriate for me? |
| Cervical screening | Is HPV testing, cytology or another examination proposed, and is it due given my history? |
| General health | Which measurements and laboratory tests are included, and which would duplicate recent tests? |
| Symptoms or previous abnormal results | Should I book a clinical consultation instead of relying only on routine screening? |
| Report discussion | Who will explain findings, and is that appointment included or separately priced? |
For context, the US Preventive Services Task Force recommends mammography every two years for women aged 40–74 within the population covered by its recommendation. This does not prescribe a package for every visitor. Discuss your risk and prior screening with your clinician. A package that lists breast ultrasound should not be assumed to include mammography.

Which Guangzhou hospitals can I compare?
The MyChinaCheckup Guangzhou directory includes the seven options below. These are website listings to investigate; a listing is not a reserved appointment or proof that a specific screening test is available on your chosen date.
- Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital
- Nanfang Hospital
- Zhujiang Hospital
- Guangzhou First People’s Hospital
- First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University
- Guangdong Clifford Hospital
- Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital · Pazhou
Compare the exact examination list, confirmed campus, journey from your hotel, language arrangements and report delivery. Ask the hospital to confirm your requested breast or cervical examination before selecting a package. See the Guangzhou booking guide for the wider planning process.
Can I request a female clinician and privacy?
Yes. Tell us before booking if you prefer a female clinician, a chaperone or a private conversation without your travelling companion. We will ask the hospital to confirm the available arrangements. Specify who may receive your reports; attending with a partner does not require sharing your medical information.
Tell the hospital if pregnancy is possible or your appointment may coincide with your period. Ask for instructions for the actual booked examinations. Do not assume that every part of the visit needs cancelling, or that every examination can proceed unchanged.
How much time and money should I allow?
Use the exact selected package and a written total for budgeting. A starting price for a men’s package is not a quote for a women’s visit. Ask which examinations, English accompaniment, report translation and consultations are included, and which requested services are extra.
Routine visits are generally planned around 2–3.5 hours at the hospital, plus travel. The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. Confirm your own schedule and a report-delivery plan before departure.
How do I arrange English reports for my doctor at home?
Confirm that you will receive the original Chinese report and the agreed English translation, as well as any requested imaging files. Ask your receiving clinician what records they need. Report translation helps transfer information; medical interpretation and follow-up come from a qualified clinician.

Questions before you book
Can I arrange a women’s health check while visiting Guangzhou from Canada, the USA, the UK or Australia?
You can enquire with your travel dates and language needs. The selected hospital must confirm registration, availability and an appropriate examination plan. Your nationality alone does not determine the tests you need.
Does every women’s package include mammography and cervical screening?
No. Check the exact examination names in the selected package. Ask the hospital whether additional screening is appropriate, available on your date and included in the written price.
Can my partner have a check-up at the same time?
You can request the same hospital and morning, subject to availability. Each person needs their own examination plan, report arrangements and clear price; ask whether the total quote covers one person or both.
An enquiry does not confirm an appointment. No medical records are needed in your first website enquiry.
Service-planning information. Individual screening and medical decisions should be discussed with the selected hospital’s clinical team.
