Health Checks During a China Business Trip
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated
Plan a business-trip check-up around a confirmed morning and a realistic journey to the hospital. Separate the examinations from the later delivery of reports, and have any additional appointment accepted before building it into your schedule.
Choose the city where you have usable time
A free morning in one city can be more useful than an attractive package in a city that requires another flight. Compare your hotel, the exact campus, meeting commitments and departure time. The campus name on the quote should match the meeting instructions.
Protect the morning, then confirm any additions
Routine checks usually need about 2–3.5 hours on site. That is not a door-to-door commitment or a guarantee that a scan and specialist visit fit before lunch. Allow for hotel travel, registration and any provider-advised preparation or recovery.
Ask the hospital whether your proposed combination is practical before fixing meetings around it. If you are arriving after a long flight, clarify the appointment and preparation plan; do not improvise fasting or medication changes to save time.
Tell us which deadline is fixed
- Date and time of the first meeting you cannot move.
- Last day in the city and any flight or train departure.
- Whether the examination or the final report is needed by a specific date.
- Any additional scan, consultation or procedure you want considered.
If the clinical plan cannot fit, ask which part can be arranged appropriately in the available window. An incomplete or rushed plan is not made suitable by choosing a larger package.
Check employer documents before paying
Ask your employer or insurer what paperwork it needs, including recipient details, itemisation, currency and provider documentation. Then confirm what the selected service can issue. A payment receipt, hospital invoice and an English medical report serve different purposes.
Do not assume reimbursement because you are travelling for work or because a document is translated. See insurance questions and payment and invoices.
Finish the visit with a report handover plan
The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. Agree delivery after departure, image-file access if needed and a contact for outstanding items. Clinical interpretation and further care may require another appointment.
For an example of practical coordination rather than a universal timetable, read the UK visitor’s Shenzhen story. Its historical appointment and prices describe that visit only.

Start with your city and dates
Tell us the service you need and your travel window. No passport image or medical records are needed for the first enquiry. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment.
