Shanghai Health Screening Cost: Packages and Itemised Quotes

By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated

A useful Shanghai health check price is a written total for a defined visit. Start with the current package listing, then resolve additions, English support, reports and any separate consultation before comparing proposals.

Use the exact scope in your plan

For a named test, separate the package subtotal from an MRI request, CT request or endoscopy assessment. Confirm each attendee and the group total, then check the payment recipient and document types.

Current Shanghai package examples, with the comparison limits

The examples below come from our current Shanghai package listings, checked on 1 October 2026. They are website package prices in USD, not official hospital direct-booking tariffs or a complete personalised quote. Compare the linked examination lists before deciding.

Hospital listingListed campusSelected packages from
Huadong HospitalMain campusUS$320
Huashan HospitalPudong campusUS$418
Zhongshan HospitalSheshan campusUS$344
Renji HospitalEast campusUS$480

The cheapest starting option at a hospital is not the ceiling for that hospital. Compare an equivalent set of examinations, the written English-support scope and any extras. If your appointment is after 31 December 2026, ask for the applicable service terms for that date.

Your selected, confirmed package

Four services included in your package

All listed check-up tests

The examinations and consumables expressly listed for your selected package, with its eligibility conditions.

Personalized VIP coordination

Individual appointment planning, visit coordination and support through report delivery.

Dedicated English-speaking accompaniment throughout your check-up

A dedicated English-speaking companion supports you throughout your hospital check-up visit.

Hospital-issued Chinese report + full English translation

Your hospital’s original Chinese report and complete English translation, delivered within 3–5 working days after the listed package examinations are completed.

These four services are included in the price of your selected, confirmed package. Extra tests, treatment, medicines, transport and accommodation are not included unless expressly listed in your written plan; separately priced additions require your approval.

VIP personal service means MyChinaCheckup’s individual coordination and accompaniment. It does not promise a hospital VIP ward, priority medical access or a medical outcome.

Turn a price question into a comparable enquiry

Send two or three package links, the date window and the city. Ask the team to return one total for each option, with unpriced additions clearly identified. There is no need to put medical details into the initial enquiry form.

A useful request is: “Please compare these package links for my Shanghai visit, including the agreed English accompaniment and translated reports. List any requested imaging, clinical review and extra charges separately.” For a work trip, use the executive planning checklist; use payment and invoice guidance before transferring funds.

Use the live package as your starting point

The Shanghai package directory contains named hospital options and listed USD prices. Read the individual test list rather than treating the cheapest or most expensive package as a universal recommendation. The current quote must confirm the hospital, campus, appointment and scope for your visit.

If two quotations use different currencies, record each currency and ask what amount is actually payable. Do not mix a listed USD price with a separate hospital estimate in another currency without an agreed explanation.

Ask for these lines in the proposal

LineWhat to confirm
Check-up packageExact option, campus and examination list
SupportCoordination and English accompaniment included in the plan
ReportsChinese report, English translation and any separate imaging files
AdditionsNamed test or consultation, approval needed and separate price
TotalCurrency, recipient, payment deadline and refund terms

A missing price is an unanswered question. Ask for it before payment instead of assuming it is included or free.

Separate a package change from a new service

Adding an MRI, changing an ultrasound region or arranging a specialist visit may change more than the total. It can affect preparation, appointment timing and report delivery. Ask which parts of the original proposal remain valid after each change.

Likewise, removing a listed item does not automatically create a proportional refund. The provider must confirm whether substitution, removal or repricing is available. Ask for the revised proposal as one complete document.

Approve the total before committing

MyChinaCheckup coordinates the arrangements; the hospital makes medical decisions. The booking process requires written confirmation of the hospital, package, date and total before full payment. An enquiry does not reserve a slot.

Keep transport, accommodation, medicines, treatment and unagreed tests separate from the check-up comparison. Review the cancellation terms alongside your flight and meeting plans. Price transparency includes knowing what happens when your itinerary changes.

Common questions

Can you give one price for every Shanghai visitor?

No. The selected hospital, examination scope and confirmed additions determine the proposal. Use a current written quote for your own visit.

Does a larger test count justify a higher price?

Not by itself. Compare named examinations and ask a clinician which are appropriate; package lists may group the same types of tests differently.

Plan your Shanghai visit

Send the package links you are comparing and your travel dates. Ask for a written total showing included services and any unresolved additions.

An enquiry does not reserve an appointment. Confirm the hospital, campus, date, scope and total in writing before payment.
