Shanghai Health Check Payment, Receipts and Invoices

By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated

Before paying for a Shanghai health check, confirm the exact total, currency, recipient and documentation you will receive. A package listing, payment receipt, hospital bill and insurer claim form serve different purposes.

Ordinary check-ups can be paid in full after arrival in China, before the first examination begins. Any hospital-required advance payment is disclosed separately in writing and agreed before you accept the plan and proceed with booking. Appointment confirmation follows the hospital’s confirmation and our written notice; payment receipts and invoices record payment separately. See all six booking steps.

Your payment recipient and documents

The operating and payment-receiving company is Nanjing Xurun Health Consulting Co., Ltd. (南京旭润健康咨询有限公司), based in Nanjing, China. MyChinaCheckup is the specialist health-check planning platform of Access China Med. The hospital provides examinations and clinical decisions; our team provides the agreed coordination and language support.

  1. Before payment: receive the itemised written quote, exact payment recipient, amount and currency, included services and applicable cancellation and refund conditions. The quote separates each attendee, package and approved addition.
  2. After payment is received: we send a payment confirmation and arrange a Chinese tax invoice (fapiao) issued by Nanjing Xurun Health Consulting Co., Ltd. (南京旭润健康咨询有限公司) through the company’s actual invoicing process. Confirm the required invoice details and expected issue time before paying. Use the existing itemised English quote as the English cost breakdown.
  3. Hospital documents and appointment confirmation: a company tax invoice acknowledges the company’s invoiced transaction; it is distinct from a hospital-issued receipt or bill and from appointment confirmation. Hospital letterhead, stamps, document availability and issue dates must be checked with the particular hospital. None of these documents guarantees employer or insurance reimbursement.

Payment-document information confirmed by the operator on 7 October 2026. This is not a new hospital tariff confirmation. Already accepted quotes and booking terms remain subject to their existing agreement.

Confirm the payee and paperwork before transferring money

DetailWhy it matters
Payee and payment routeThe recipient must match the written instructions for the agreed service.
Currency and totalA USD listing and the actual payable currency need a clear written reconciliation.
Accepted methodAsk specifically about your proposed overseas card or transfer; do not assume acceptance.
Receipt and invoiceEstablish the issuer, itemisation and recipient details needed before the payment.
Changes and refundsKeep the applicable terms with the confirmed date and scope.

MyChinaCheckup does not claim that every Shanghai hospital accepts every international card. Ask about your selected provider and payment route before arrival.

Company reimbursement and insurance are different questions

If an employer will reimburse the visit, ask its finance team which payee details and documents it accepts. If an insurer may reimburse it, ask that insurer about the specific policy, service and paperwork. A receipt, an invoice and a medical report have different purposes; having all three does not establish eligibility.

For business travellers, use executive health check planning and the Shanghai business-trip guide. For the proposed charges themselves, return to the screening cost and quote guide.

Match the payment request to your appointment

Your written confirmation should identify the hospital, campus, package, date and agreed support. Check that the payment instructions correspond to this proposal and that unresolved additions are clearly marked. An enquiry by itself does not reserve an appointment.

Use the agreed official contact route if payment details change. Ask the coordinator to resolve a mismatch in the recipient, amount or currency before transferring funds. Do not rely solely on a forwarded screenshot.

Ask which payment method applies

Do not assume that an overseas card, cash, mobile wallet or bank transfer will work for every component. Ask which methods are accepted for the coordinated arrangement and which may be needed for a separately approved hospital service.

Confirm potential payment processing or currency conversion charges with the relevant provider. A conversion displayed by your bank is different from the currency and amount in the appointment quote.

Specify the documents before payment

DocumentWhat to ask
Payment receiptWho issues it and which payment it acknowledges
Hospital invoice or billIssuer, patient details, language and itemisation available
Coordination documentationHow separately documented services appear
Insurance paperworkWhat your insurer requires and what the provider can supply

If your employer or insurer needs particular wording, request it before booking. Do not assume a standard receipt will meet its requirements.

Retain a record if the plan changes

Ask for written approval of any extra cost before proceeding. Keep the original and revised totals together with proof of payment. For cancellation or rescheduling, use the current refund policy and the terms of your confirmed arrangement.

Document availability does not establish insurance coverage. For claims planning, see Shanghai insurance documentation questions. A coordinator can clarify supplied paperwork; your insurer decides what it will reimburse.

Common questions

Will one invoice include every part of the arrangement?

Ask which entity issues documentation for each service. Do not assume hospital examinations and coordination are invoiced in one document.

Can the team guarantee my insurer will reimburse me?

No. Obtain a coverage decision from your insurer and confirm the required documents before booking.

Two transfers and hospital-issued paperwork

If you need to split payment or obtain a hospital-stamped document, raise those as two separate requests before transferring money. Use the split-payment reconciliation checklist to match both transfers to one accepted quote. Then confirm the document issuer and the selected Shanghai hospital’s actual ability to supply the requested letterhead, stamp or bill. Acceptance of the payment arrangement does not confirm the hospital document.

Plan your Shanghai visit

Tell us your payment currency and whether you need employer or insurer paperwork. Ask what can be issued before making payment.

An enquiry does not reserve an appointment. Confirm the hospital, campus, date, scope and total in writing before payment.

The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. Consultations, treatment, pathology and other services outside the listed package follow their separately confirmed arrangements.
