Shanghai Executive Health Check: Plan Scope, Time and Support
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated
An executive health check in Shanghai should start with a clearly defined service plan: appropriate examinations, a practical appointment window, agreed English support and a usable report handover. “Executive” alone does not specify a hospital package, priority access or a fixed price. Confirm the actual arrangements before booking.
What do you need an executive check-up to deliver?
Some visitors use “executive” to mean a comprehensive examination list; others mean help coordinating a short business stay, private communication or a report for their doctor. Write down which of those outcomes you need. This prevents a package name from standing in for the details that determine whether the visit works for you.
MyChinaCheckup’s Shanghai directory lists named hospital packages. We do not label those existing options as a universal Executive tier. A specific provider’s service, room, consultation or priority arrangement is included only when confirmed in your written plan.
Your selected, confirmed package
Four services included in your package
All listed check-up tests
The examinations and consumables expressly listed for your selected package, with its eligibility conditions.
Personalized VIP coordination
Individual appointment planning, visit coordination and support through report delivery.
Dedicated English-speaking accompaniment throughout your check-up
A dedicated English-speaking companion supports you throughout your hospital check-up visit.
Hospital-issued Chinese report + full English translation
Your hospital’s original Chinese report and complete English translation, delivered within 3–5 working days after the listed package examinations are completed.
These four services are included in the price of your selected, confirmed package. Extra tests, treatment, medicines, transport and accommodation are not included unless expressly listed in your written plan; separately priced additions require your approval.
VIP personal service means MyChinaCheckup’s individual coordination and accompaniment. It does not promise a hospital VIP ward, priority medical access or a medical outcome.
Choose the right starting route
| Your priority | Starting point | Decision to resolve |
|---|---|---|
| Compare listed check-ups | Compare the actual package tests | Which listed option fits the clinical review and your budget? |
| Coordinate a short business visit | Plan the Shanghai travel window | Can the confirmed appointment and any additions fit the available time? |
| Arrange a specific scan or assessment | Clarify the requested examination | Does it need a separate clinical request, appointment or preparation? |
These routes can overlap. A busy itinerary is not a reason to skip the provider’s preparation instructions or to select tests without a suitability discussion.
A service standard you can confirm in writing
- Hospital, exact campus, department and meeting point.
- Named package and any separately agreed examinations or consultations.
- English accompaniment: when it begins, where it applies and who handles clinical questions.
- Appointment estimate and any additional procedure, preparation or recovery time.
- Chinese report, English translation, image files if requested and the expected delivery dates.
- Itemised total, payment route, invoice requirements and applicable change terms.
If a private room, a particular clinician or priority scheduling is important, make it an explicit question. Those features cannot be inferred from price, the word “executive” or the presence of an English-speaking coordinator.
Plan cost and time together
Use the current Shanghai screening cost guide for examples of published packages, then ask for the complete quote for your visit. Additional imaging, a separate consultation and services outside the agreed package need separate confirmation. A higher package price does not itself establish better clinical suitability.
A routine check-up is commonly planned for about 2–3.5 hours on site. The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. Read the visit and report timing guide before choosing a flight or meeting immediately afterward.
Keep company paperwork and medical privacy separate
Ask your employer which invoice recipient, itemisation and payment record it needs. Confirm who can issue the required documents before payment. Do not assume an employer needs your medical report simply because it pays for the appointment.
Arrange delivery of health records privately to you or a recipient you authorise. If your doctor at home will review them, use the after-departure report checklist. A translated report is not a substitute for a medical consultation.
A useful first enquiry
You can write: “I will be in Shanghai during [date window] and need an appointment that fits around [available morning]. Please help me compare suitable listed packages and confirm the campus, English support, total price and report delivery after my trip.” Replace the brackets with your plans; this is an enquiry template, not a visitor testimonial.
If you need clinical review before selecting tests, ask how to arrange it through a private channel. You do not need to include a passport image, medical history or confidential business details in the first form.
Questions before booking
Is there one executive package or fixed executive price?
No universal Executive tier is offered by this guide. Compare the listed hospital packages and request a written scope and total for your own visit.
Does executive mean no waiting or a private room?
No. Ask whether those specific arrangements are available and included for the selected date and campus.
Can I leave Shanghai before the report is ready?
Electronic delivery can be discussed before booking. Confirm the documents, expected dates and clinical follow-up route separately from the appointment date.
