Planning a health check-up in Guangzhou: booking, your visit and reports

A Guangzhou check-up is easier to organise when you agree the appointment details and the report arrangements before building the rest of your itinerary. Your visit date is only one part of the plan: the campus, selected package, English support and report delivery all need confirmation.

1. Start with the Guangzhou hospital directory

Hospital-issued Chinese report + full English translation
Your hospital’s original Chinese report and complete English translation, usually expected within 3–5 working days after all agreed check-up examinations have been completed.
These four services are included in the price of your selected, confirmed package. Extra tests, treatment, medicines, transport and accommodation are not included unless expressly listed in your written plan; separately priced additions require your approval.
VIP personal service means MyChinaCheckup’s individual coordination and accompaniment. It does not promise a hospital VIP ward, priority medical access or a medical outcome.
Some results may take longer due to hospital review or the type of examination. We will confirm the expected timing for your plan before booking and keep you informed of any delays. Reports can be sent electronically, so you do not need to remain in China to receive them. Existing accepted quotes and service agreements keep their agreed terms.
2. Send dates and practical details first
For an initial enquiry, include your preferred city, approximate visit dates, number of visitors, package links if selected, and whether you need English accompaniment. Also mention your departure date if it affects report delivery. You do not need to send passport details or medical records through the initial form.

Replace the example dates with your own. If your schedule is flexible, give an alternative date rather than assuming that a preferred morning can be reserved. For a request beyond a listed option, use personalised planning.
3. Keep a written booking checklist
Record the number of attendees and each person’s exact package and approved additions. A listed amount is per person; the quote must show the separate lines and final group total. Check the six-hospital directory for the current campus list, then confirm the exact entrance and meeting point for your appointment.
Hotel or Fair transport is a separate arrangement unless expressly included in the accepted quote. Confirm the actual pickup and destination, attendees, timing and price. Review the payment recipient and document process before paying.
A successful form submission means the enquiry has been received; it does not mean a hospital appointment is confirmed. Before committing to the arrangement, check these details in the written proposal and confirmation:
- Where: hospital, campus, address, department and meeting point.
- When: confirmed date and arrival time, plus the expected visit duration.
- What: selected package, full test list and any separately charged items.
- Support: English accompaniment arrangements and how to contact the coordinator.
- Cost: itemised total, payment currency, payment terms and charges for any optional extras.
- Reports: languages, expected timing and delivery method.
- Changes: the applicable rescheduling, cancellation and refund conditions.

4. Prepare around the confirmed appointment
Once the campus and arrival time are confirmed, check the journey from your accommodation and leave room in your itinerary for the provider's expected visit duration. Do not book tightly timed onward activities on the assumption that every check-up takes the same amount of time.
Ask the hospital which identification or booking documents to bring, where to register and whether different appointments are needed for any selected items. Keep the confirmation and coordinator's contact details accessible on the day.
Preparation depends on your package. Obtain the hospital's instructions about food, drink and medicines rather than using a generic online fasting schedule. Direct medical preparation questions to the clinical team; this guide does not prescribe a preparation routine.

5. Plan for reports separately from the visit
The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are usually expected within 3–5 working days after all agreed check-up examinations have been completed. A flight before the delivery window ends does not bring that deadline forward. Arrange electronic delivery after departure if needed.
MyChinaCheckup arranges reports in Chinese and English. If you will leave Guangzhou before they are ready, agree the delivery method and contact details in advance. Ask how to follow up if an item is missing or delayed.
Report delivery and clinical interpretation are different services. Ask the healthcare provider how to discuss your results and whether any follow-up consultation needs a separate booking or fee.
Personal screening or an official visa exam?
This guide covers a voluntary hospital health check-up for preventive screening during a China visit. It is different from the designated physical examination used for some work permits, study or residence applications. If an authority, employer or school gave you a required form, confirm the named facility, required tests, validity period and certificate format before booking; a general check-up package may not satisfy that process.
For a personal check-up, tell us your passport nationality, purpose, age range, preferred city, travel dates and whether you need English accompaniment. We can then match the enquiry to a listed package and request an itemised quote. The hospital makes the clinical decision about which tests are suitable.
Common questions before a Guangzhou check-up
Can I fit a check-up into a short stay?
Send your arrival and departure dates so appointment availability and report delivery can be discussed separately. There is no universal minimum stay that applies to every package.
What happens if my travel dates change?
Contact the coordinator promptly and ask the provider to confirm a new slot and any applicable charges. A requested change is not an accepted change until confirmed.
What if I have not received a reply?
Check your spam folder and keep the enquiry reference, if one was shown. Follow up through WhatsApp or the email address in the site footer, quoting the reference. Avoid repeatedly sending the same personal information.

Your visit and what is included
Your written plan confirms all listed check-up tests, personalized VIP coordination, dedicated English-speaking accompaniment throughout your check-up, and the hospital-issued Chinese report plus full English translation, the package eligibility and total. For confirmed visits on or before 31 December 2026, the agreed price includes the hospital check-up fee, coordination and English-speaking accompaniment specified in your written plan. There is no additional charge for those included services. Tests outside the agreed package require a disclosed price and your approval before proceeding.
Visit: approximately 2–3.5 hours; an 08:00 start usually finishes by 11:30. The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are usually expected within 3–5 working days after all agreed check-up examinations have been completed.
Treatment, medicines, travel to and from the hospital, accommodation and tests outside your selected package are not included. Additional tests are paid for separately. Priority arrangements for international visitors are subject to hospital availability; immediate access or no waiting time cannot be guaranteed.
Reserve now. Pay in full before your check-up. Ordinary check-ups can be paid in full after arrival in China, before the first examination begins. Any hospital-required advance payment is disclosed separately in writing and agreed before you accept the plan and proceed with booking. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment. We send written appointment confirmation after the hospital confirms the booking.
For amounts already paid, cancel at least 48 hours before the appointment for a full refund. With less notice, only actual non-refundable provider costs already incurred are deducted; the eligible balance is refunded. Plan the first days of your trip
Allow approximately 2–3.5 hours at the hospital. For an 08:00 appointment, routine examinations are usually completed by 11:30; additional tests or hospital scheduling may extend the visit. Where practical, book within the first three days after arriving in China to leave time for any recommended repeat tests or specialist appointments. Follow-up appointments are subject to availability and are charged separately.
Preparation and clothing
Follow the preparation instructions issued by your hospital for your selected tests. If your hospital specifies fasting from 20:00 the night before, follow that schedule. Water restrictions depend on the examination: do not assume that all fasting tests require you to avoid water. Confirm food, water and medication instructions with the clinical team, especially if you have diabetes or take regular medicines. Do not change medication on your own. Wear loose, comfortable clothing without metal buttons or decorations, and leave jewellery and removable metal accessories at home. If your package includes X-ray, CT or MRI, follow the imaging team’s safety screening and preparation instructions. These scans are not included in every package.
