MRI in Guangzhou for Foreign Visitors: Plan the Appointment
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated
For an MRI in Guangzhou, first clarify the requested body region and clinical question. Then confirm the provider, exact campus, accepted protocol, appointment and complete quote. A Guangzhou package listing does not confirm MRI availability or inclusion.
Choose between a scan request and a package addition
If your doctor has requested a scan, identify that when enquiring. If you want MRI alongside a routine health check, ask the clinical team whether the request is appropriate and how it can be scheduled. The accepted protocol determines the appointment and price.
State the body region and side where relevant. Ask whether consultation, contrast, another examination or additional records are needed. See the national MRI booking guide for the provider safety review and image-file checklist.
Your selected, confirmed package
Four services included in your package
All listed check-up tests
The examinations and consumables expressly listed for your selected package, with its eligibility conditions.
Personalized VIP coordination
Individual appointment planning, visit coordination and support through report delivery.
Dedicated English-speaking accompaniment throughout your check-up
A dedicated English-speaking companion supports you throughout your hospital check-up visit.
Hospital-issued Chinese report + full English translation
Your hospital’s original Chinese report and complete English translation, delivered within 3–5 working days after the listed package examinations are completed.
These four services are included in the price of your selected, confirmed package. Extra tests, treatment, medicines, transport and accommodation are not included unless expressly listed in your written plan; separately priced additions require your approval.
VIP personal service means MyChinaCheckup’s individual coordination and accompaniment. It does not promise a hospital VIP ward, priority medical access or a medical outcome.
Keep the Guangzhou campus explicit
The city directory includes several hospital systems and a specified North campus VIP-department listing. The final scan location may need separate confirmation from the check-up location. Obtain the scan campus and department in writing before planning the journey.
For a Canton Fair visit, work from your actual hotel and the confirmed appointment location. “Guangzhou” or a hospital’s familiar name is not a travel-time estimate. Use the campus and Pazhou questions.
Ask for a scan quote rather than using package prices
Selected health-check packages in our Guangzhou directory currently start at US$268. That is not an advertised MRI price. Ask for the scan protocol, any consultation or contrast, English support, report translation and image access to be priced explicitly.
When combining services, request an updated total showing the package and the accepted additional scan. See Guangzhou package costs and inclusions. A price alone is not confirmation that a scan slot has been reserved.
Plan the appointment and preparation together
- Can registration, clinical review and MRI happen in the available visit window?
- Does the scan require instructions different from the health-check package?
- What provider-requested safety information should you share privately?
- What buffer should you leave before a meeting, train or flight?
Do not assume a rapid appointment is available. Tell us the departure deadline before a provider is approached, and use the hospital’s preparation instructions for the accepted examination.
Reports after a Fair or business trip
Ask for a separate report date for the scan and for any routine check-up. Confirm the official report, English translation and actual image files where available. A report PDF and the images are different records.
For an overseas doctor, agree the file format and access route before departure. Identify who will explain the findings and who handles an outstanding document. Read the Fair visit, MRI and report-timing guide.

Start with your city and dates
Tell us the service you need and your travel window. No passport image or medical records are needed for the first enquiry. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment.
