A Guangzhou Couple Requests Different MRI Regions on the Same Visit

By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Published · Updated

Two adults visiting Guangzhou want different MRI body regions and hope to attend together. They also want to know whether routine screening can fit the same trip. A useful proposal needs two individual clinical requests and an explicit answer about availability, location and timing.

A composite planning example based on anonymised enquiry themes, not a record of a completed visit or a promised outcome. The provider must confirm each arrangement.

Write down each region independently

Record the exact region requested for each person, any side specified in the clinical request, whether prior images are available and the question the receiving team needs to review. “Two MRI scans” does not provide enough information for a dependable quote.

Ask whether a consultation or clinical order is required and what documents should be supplied through the agreed channel. A requested region and a preferred date remain requests until the hospital accepts them. One partner’s acceptance does not confirm the other partner’s examination.

Keep Guangzhou prices local to the accepted provider

The Shanghai Ren’ai US$150 single-region offer applies only with a Ren’ai health-check package in Shanghai. It is not a Guangzhou price. Ask for two named-provider quotes that identify the accepted regions, any contrast or other extras, language support and report/image arrangements.

If routine screening is also wanted, compare Guangzhou packages independently. A screening package price does not establish that either MRI request is included. Put each accepted scan or consultation on its own line and ask whether it is on the same campus.

Ask what attending together can mean

It may mean a shared arrival, nearby appointments or simply appointments during the same trip. Ask which of these the hospital can actually confirm. Two different regions may have different scheduling requirements, and an available check-up slot does not reserve scanner time.

Confirm whether English accompaniment can support both routes, especially if departments call them at once. Ask for separate preparation instructions from the clinical team and avoid booking onward travel around an assumed simultaneous finish.

Use two record-delivery checklists

For each person, confirm the original report, agreed translation, DICOM or other image access, delivery recipient and expected release date. Ask who will explain findings and where questions should go after departure. Do not assume every provider supplies the same record formats or translation scope.

Send both region requests, screening preferences, available days and departure date in the initial enquiry. The next useful result is a written plan with accepted and pending items clearly distinguished, not a promise that a two-person MRI visit has already been secured.

Use a two-person acceptance grid

For each partner, record the requested region and side if relevant, previous image availability, clinician or order review, accepted protocol, proposed campus and appointment status. Mark contrast as a clinical question where applicable, not an automatically purchased upgrade. A reply accepting one scan should not fill the other person’s pending fields.

Ask for the original examination wording to remain beside any translated description. If the provider proposes a different region or protocol, clarify the clinical reason and price before approving it. The existing region-and-side checklist helps describe the request; it does not establish Guangzhou availability.

Decide what to prioritise if the slots do not align

Before requesting a shared morning, agree whether the priority is one trip to the campus, close appointment times or the earliest individually accepted appointments. If those cannot all be achieved, ask for the alternatives and their support arrangements. Do not book an unsuitable appointment simply to make the couple’s arrival times match.

At handover, match each report and image set to the correct person and accepted examination. Check the delivery channel and intended recipient separately. A joint organiser or shared email preference should be explicitly agreed by each adult, rather than inferred from the fact that they enquired together.

Discuss your own plan

Give two separate MRI requests and state what matters most if the accepted appointments cannot be at the same time.

The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. Consultations, treatment, pathology and other services outside the listed package follow their separately confirmed arrangements.
