Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital: A Pazhou Campus Check-up Guide

Updated 13 October 2026 · By MyChinaCheckup coordination team

Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital’s Pazhou campus is one of our recommended options for Canton Fair visitors considering a hospital-based health check. Its established health-management department, published package choices and the reception environment seen during Lucy’s visit make it a useful option to compare against your needs, hotel location and available appointment dates.

There are six listed packages from US$315 per person. Their prices include the listed examinations, personal VIP coordination, dedicated English-speaking accompaniment throughout the check-up, and the hospital’s Chinese report with a full English translation.

Why we include it on a Canton Fair shortlist

The formal hospital name is Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital, Pazhou Campus — 广东省第二人民医院(琶洲院区). It is a Grade III Class A comprehensive hospital. The hospital’s official institutional disclosure provides its institutional background.

The official Health Management Department page describes a department founded in 2002, with individualised examinations and post-check-up guidance. Its equipment and area descriptions cover both hospital campuses; they do not confirm that every examination is included or available at Pazhou for your date.

For an exhibition visitor, the practical comparison is the accepted test list, time away from the Fair, the route from your actual hotel and the support needed throughout the appointment. The campus is a Guangzhou option to assess with those details; we do not rank it as universally best or promise short queues. Compare other Guangzhou hospitals before deciding.

Lucy’s on-site photographs and short walkthrough

Lucy supplied these photographs from her visit on 12 October 2026. They show a staffed health-management reception counter, a seventh-floor room directory and the examination-area interior. The bright reception, seating and visible room signs give a concrete impression of a welcoming environment. They are observations from one visit, not evidence of waiting times, hospital-wide English staffing or a guaranteed VIP appointment.

Campus address and your appointment’s meeting point

Campus address: 466 Xingang Middle Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou — 广州市海珠区新港中路466号。 Use the full hospital name and the Pazhou campus in your arrival instructions. The hospital also has a Civil Aviation campus, so the campus name matters.

The hospital’s current health-management page lists services in Building 10 across several floors. The exact reception used for an individual booking must be confirmed separately. Your written appointment plan should identify the assigned building, entrance, floor, meeting point, arrival time and contact person. Follow that confirmation rather than a general map, an older visitor’s hotel-entrance route or the floor shown in the photographs above.

Ask the coordinator to check the journey from your hotel to that confirmed entrance and allow for registration and finding the department. “Pazhou campus” does not establish a location inside the Canton Fair complex, a walkable route or a fixed travel time. Exhibition traffic and your hotel location affect the journey.

What does a check-up at this campus cost?

Listed MyChinaCheckup prices are US$315 / US$528 / US$750 for the three men’s options, and US$430 / US$588 / US$850 for the three women’s options. Each includes the four services described above.

Each option has its own examination list. A higher price does not mean every lower-priced test is included. For example, Women’s Basic has a 6-item lipid panel and a cervical-spine X-ray; Women’s Advanced has a 4-item lipid panel and no cervical-spine X-ray listed.

Read the complete bilingual list and its scope notes before choosing. The generic ultrasound entries in Advanced and Selected need their scan regions confirmed; Selected also needs clarification of the carotid haemodynamic examination. The written plan confirms the examinations, suitability, availability and any separately approved additions.

From planning and arrival to your completed handover

This is the MyChinaCheckup coordination process for an accepted booking. It is not a claim that every overseas visitor can follow a single hospital-wide passport-registration route.

  1. Agree the purpose and scope

Tell us your available mornings, hotel area, departure limit and concerns or special requirements. Compare the named package with any separately requested specialist visit or scan. The hospital reviews clinical suitability and availability.

  2. Confirm the written appointment

After accepting the plan, share the hospital-required booking details through the agreed private channel. Receive the confirmed campus, appointment, examination list, assigned companion, total and service agreement. A submitted enquiry is not a reservation.

  3. Settle payment and preparation

For ordinary check-ups, you may pay after arrival in China and before the first examination. Any hospital-required advance payment is disclosed and agreed before booking confirmation. Follow the hospital’s instructions for food, water, medicines and the accepted tests.

  4. Meet and register

Use the building, entrance, floor and meeting point in your appointment confirmation. Your assigned English-speaking companion helps with the agreed registration and on-site communication. Hotel transport is separately requested and priced.

  5. Complete the agreed examinations

Follow the accepted examination sequence. Separate specialist appointments or imaging slots need their own confirmation. Ask for the purpose, price and your approval before paid additions. At the end, record services completed and any outstanding items.

  6. Receive reports and arrange review

The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all listed package examinations are completed. Agree overseas delivery, any imaging files and separately accepted clinical follow-up. The translation does not replace a clinician’s explanation.

Considering MRI, CT, ultrasound or endoscopy?

Start with the examination you are considering and any existing clinician recommendation. Ask whether a doctor’s assessment or order is required, whether the examination is available at this campus and whether it needs a separate appointment. A published equipment list is not a reserved scan slot.

  • MRI: specify the body region you want to discuss; confirm the protocol, suitability screening and whether contrast is required with the clinician.
  • CT or ultrasound: request the exact examination name, clinical assessment requirements and preparation instructions.
  • Gastroscopy or colonoscopy: clarify assessment, preparation, sedation options, recovery arrangements and any separate pathology-report timing before building it into your exhibition schedule.

Additional imaging should be selected with clinical advice, rather than adding every available scan to a package. Ask for the agreed costs and timing before approving extra examinations.

Two visitors can share logistics while keeping separate plans

Request the same preferred morning and campus, with each person’s examination list, appointment status, quote and report permissions confirmed separately. Different tests can mean different finish times. Ask how English accompaniment will cover simultaneous appointments and what happens if one person needs an additional visit.

Use the Canton Fair couples quote checklist · Planning example: a free morning and a separate specialist request

English support and reports: confirm each deliverable

Your assigned MyChinaCheckup companion supports the agreed check-up communication. This does not mean every hospital employee speaks English, and personal VIP coordination does not promise a hospital VIP ward or priority medical access.

The hospital issues the original Chinese report; MyChinaCheckup arranges the complete English translation. Both are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed package are completed. Agree electronic delivery after departure if needed. Consultations, treatment, pathology and other services outside that package have separately confirmed arrangements.

For imaging, agree any original image files and access expiry as well as the written report. Confirm who will discuss medical findings and whether a separate consultation is accepted and chargeable. Use the overseas records handover checklist.

Request a plan for your own visit

Tell us the number of visitors, preferred campus, available mornings, hotel area, departure limit and examinations or concerns you want to discuss. Include special requirements that help us understand what to arrange. Supporting records requested by the hospital can follow through the agreed private channel.
