MRI in Shenzhen for Foreign Visitors: Booking Questions
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated
A Shenzhen MRI appointment needs provider acceptance of the requested examination, not only a selected health-check package. Confirm the body region, protocol, campus, appointment and complete price before relying on it in your itinerary.
Start with the examination you are asking for
Mention an existing doctor’s request, previous finding or the question you want reviewed. Specify the body region and side where relevant. The provider decides whether a consultation or other assessment is needed and which protocol is appropriate.
Read the MRI booking and safety questions. Supply safety information through the agreed private clinical route; there is no need to paste detailed medical records into the first enquiry.
Check where the scan would take place
Our Shenzhen directory compares hospital package listings. It does not confirm that each listed package includes MRI or that the same department handles the scan. Ask whether registration, consultation and imaging use the same campus and whether they fit the same visit.
Peking University Shenzhen Hospital’s International Medical Department is explicitly named in one listing. That name does not establish a scan slot, English-speaking radiologist or inclusion in a package. Confirm each practical arrangement.
Do not use a check-up starting price as an MRI estimate
Shenzhen’s selected website packages currently start at US$270, but that is not a standalone MRI quotation. Ask for the exact scan and any consultation, contrast, support, translation and image access to be itemised.
Compare Shenzhen package prices if you also want a routine health check. Have an accepted addition written into the plan and clarify whether it changes the appointment date or preparation instructions.
Fit the scan around business or onward travel
Tell us the last day you can attend and any meeting or transport deadline. A request for the next day can only proceed if the provider accepts the examination and has availability. Do not treat the usual routine health-check visit time as an MRI schedule.
- Is a prior consultation required?
- What preparation instructions apply to this protocol?
- How long should the provider advise you to allow?
- What happens if another clinical step is recommended?
Agree the records, not just the scan
Request the hospital report, agreed English translation and image files where available. Confirm a separate timeline for the MRI and the rest of a check-up. If your doctor at home will review the images, ask about file access and format before leaving.
Plan Shenzhen report delivery after departure. The coordinator can help obtain agreed records; a clinician explains the findings and advises on further care.

Start with your city and dates
Tell us the service you need and your travel window. No passport image or medical records are needed for the first enquiry. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment.
