Huadong Check-up Packages: Compare the Published Examination Lists

By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Published

Evidence checked: 13 October 2026. Catalogue comparison, not a personal medical recommendation.

Huadong’s package numbers are not a promise that each successive list contains every earlier named item. This comparison places all six current HTML lists side by side, including wording changes, unspecified panels and provider eligibility notes. Its purpose is to help you request a precise written scope, not choose medical tests from price or item counts.

The Huadong directory provides package cards. Here, the full row crosswalk makes the differences visible without opening six pages. All findings below are catalogue observations checked on 13 October 2026, not confirmation of current hospital availability.

Six listed totals

Package source Catalogue price, USD per person Published rows Difference from same-label previous option
HM1 US$320 15 Not applicable
HM2 US$606 20 US$286
HM3 US$1,061 23 US$455
HW1 US$364 16 Not applicable
HW2 US$648 21 US$284
HW3 US$943 23 US$295

HM1–HM3 refer to Men’s 01–03 and HW1–HW3 to Women’s 01–03. Prices are website reference totals in USD per person, not verified hospital direct-booking tariffs. The difference column is arithmetic across entire packages; it is not the fee for the additional named tests.

For the same option number, HW1 is US$44 above HM1 and HW2 is US$42 above HM2. HW3 is US$118 below HM3. That reversal is a reminder to compare actual rows rather than assume numbering or gender-labelled prices establish equivalence.

The rows counted here follow the source’s grouping. “CEA, AFP, CA199” remains one row; a panel count is not a disclosed list of each constituent. Row totals do not establish medical value.

Complete row crosswalk

L means explicitly named in the current HTML list. U means not separately named there and inclusion remains unclear. U is not an exclusion: no downloadable package PDF was linked from the six checked package pages or hospital directory, and unnamed panel components must not be invented. Each column links to a specific source in the references below. Exact spelling variants are deliberately retained as separate rows rather than assuming their detailed scope is identical.

What changes, and what the catalogue leaves open

The chest imaging label stays “chest CT” across all six lists. None of these rows specifies a low-dose protocol. HM2 and HM3 say physical film is not included; the other four chest rows do not give an equivalent film statement. That silence leaves film delivery unclear, not included by default. Ask about the protocol and output separately.

The men-labelled ultrasound wording changes. HM1 explicitly names prostate and bladder ultrasound. HM2 and HM3 name prostate ultrasound without separately naming the bladder in that row. Do not conclude that bladder imaging is prohibited or definitely omitted; ask for the accepted anatomical scope. HM3 also separately names carotid ultrasound.

The blood-test lists are not simply cumulative. HM2 explicitly names 25-hydroxyvitamin D; HM3 does not separately name it. HM3 names homocysteine, Lp-PLA2 and a seven-antibody lung-cancer-associated panel. HM1 separately lists blood glucose, while HM2/HM3 do not name that standalone row. Whether any unnamed analyte is part of another panel remains an unanswered question.

The women-labelled changes are different. HW2 adds named carotid ultrasound, thyroid function, Lp-PLA2, HbA1c and cystatin C rows relative to HW1’s wording. Its tumour-marker label becomes a ten-component panel rather than the explicitly named CEA/AFP/CA199 row. HW3 separately names HPV and a seven-antibody lung-cancer-associated panel. A larger marker count does not disclose the actual markers or prove that all earlier markers remain included.

The same option number does not align the two labels. HM2 explicitly lists 25-hydroxyvitamin D, a lipid panel and Helicobacter pylori; HW2 separately lists carotid ultrasound and Lp-PLA2. HW2 has cytology and its pelvic-ultrasound wording. These differences call for a row-specific question if one of those examinations is relevant; they do not establish which package a person should buy.

A three-state comparison tool

For each examination that matters to an existing clinical request, complete one line before comparing totals.

Scroll horizontally to see all columns.

Field What to enter Example from the catalogue
Exact request Preserve the examination name and region Prostate and bladder ultrasound
Explicit source match Package ID and exact wording HM1 separately names both
Unresolved candidate Package and missing detail HM2 names prostate; bladder scope unclear
Clinical review Who confirms whether the examination is appropriate Hospital clinician, not this matrix
Accepted scope Dated written answer and any change to price or schedule Pending until confirmed

Give each line one of three states: “catalogue match,” “needs scope clarification” or “clinician review pending.” A catalogue match does not skip clinical review. Keep a package unresolved if a necessary scope question has no answer, even when its price fits the budget.

For example, a specific vitamin D request should not be converted into “choose tier 3.” HM2 explicitly names 25-hydroxyvitamin D. HM3 does not separately name it. Ask whether the requested test is included, available as an accepted addition, or clinically unnecessary in the individual plan. No price for that change is established by the package difference.

Eligibility language needs an individual answer

The women-labelled package pages specify “Women — provider specifies married,” while their ultrasound row says transvaginal ultrasound with pelvic ultrasound for provider-defined unmarried patients. These two pieces of wording do not, by themselves, resolve who can book which package or which route will be used. Preserve the apparent tension and ask the hospital to explain eligibility, examination method, consent and any substitution before payment. Do not treat marital status as a universal medical criterion.

Ask privately which examinations apply to the individual, whether any item is declined or unsuitable, and whether removing or replacing it changes the price. Never assume a proportional refund. No medical detail is needed simply to request the current package specification.

From comparison to a usable appointment

Confirm the main-campus registration location, date, exact accepted list and preparation instructions. Ask whether any recent tests should be reviewed to avoid unnecessary duplication. A clinician should determine appropriateness, including imaging; more rows and a higher price do not guarantee additional clinical benefit.

The package pages describe listed tests, personal coordination, English-speaking accompaniment and the hospital-issued Chinese report with full English translation. They state delivery within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in the confirmed package are completed. Confirm separate image-file delivery and any additional consultation rather than assuming those follow the same timetable. The pages’ service-price wording refers to confirmed visits on or before 31 December 2026; ask which terms apply for later dates.

Use the Shanghai itemised-quote guide for the final total and the general package comparison guide for wider planning questions. For a written appointment plan, continue to Shanghai prices and booking. An enquiry is not a reservation.

Source dates, fact mapping and limits

Each HTML source below was retrieved on 13 October 2026. Each displays “Package presentation checked 7 October 2026” and explains that this is not a new hospital tariff confirmation. Its structured metadata states 10 October 2026. Neither date proves a fresh hospital price approval.

Every matrix L and U was checked against that column’s complete HTML item tables. Prices map to the page’s displayed USD reference total; deltas are subtraction of those totals. Source labels, spelling variants and panel counts have not been expanded into assumed tests.

No package PDF link was present on the checked pages or directory, so this article compares the published HTML catalogue, not a reconciled hospital-issued PDF. Current hospital acceptance, detailed panel constituents, protocol, film/image delivery where unspecified, eligibility interpretation and customisation charges remain open. A future PDF or quotation should be compared against these dated rows rather than silently replacing or being overridden by this snapshot.
