Sanya Check-up Packages: Basic, Advanced and Selected Compared

By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Published

Basic, Advanced and Selected are six independent examination lists at Sanya Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. A higher price does not mean every item in a lower-priced package is included. Compare the named tests and eligibility in each full list before asking the hospital to confirm suitability.

Start with the six whole-package prices

These are listed whole-package reference prices. Confirm your selected package, agreed additions and total in writing. The linked pages carry each independent bilingual list and its PDF; a short comparison here is not a replacement for those item-level conditions.

Compare the imaging rows rather than the tier name

Package groupListed chest examinationOther distinction
Basic 01: men and womenChest CTThe Advanced chest/neck X-ray rows are not automatically added.
Advanced 02: men and womenFrontal chest X-rayCervical-spine front and side X-rays are also listed.
Selected 03: men and womenChest CTThe Advanced chest/neck X-ray rows are not listed.

The source lists specify that printed film is not included for these CT/X-ray items. Ask about the actual image access method and any separate document needs. Different modalities and regions are not interchangeable solely because their prices differ.

Notice items that do not carry forward

Men’s Advanced 02 lists carotid artery ultrasound and bone density assessment; neither is listed in Men’s Selected 03. Women’s Advanced 02 lists C13 urea breath testing, while Women’s Selected 03 does not. A row marked “not listed” means it is not part of that published list; it is not a statement that the hospital cannot provide the examination.

Advanced 02 and Selected 03 list TCM constitution assessment for both men and women; Basic 01 does not. The assessment is not a treatment course. If a particular examination matters to your request, ask about that exact row rather than asking only for the most comprehensive package.

Turn the comparison into a clear request

  • Open the full list for each package being considered.
  • Copy the precise test name you want the hospital to assess, including its region or method.
  • Mark it as listed, not listed, or needing clarification; keep these categories distinct.
  • Ask whether a missing item can be accepted as an addition, and at what separately disclosed price.
  • Confirm preparation, timing and eligibility with the hospital before booking.

Do not add tests solely to make two packages look similar. Your needs and the clinician’s assessment determine which examinations are appropriate; price and row count alone cannot do that.

Confirmed package services and timing

Your selected, confirmed check-up package price includes all listed examinations and consumables, personalised VIP coordination, dedicated English-speaking accompaniment throughout the check-up, and the hospital-issued Chinese report with a full English translation. Extras need a separately disclosed price and your acceptance.

Routine packages usually take 2–3.5 hours on site; additions or separate appointments can take longer. Both reports are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in the confirmed package are completed. This is not a deadline for a separate specialist diagnostic or treatment pathway.

For ordinary check-ups, payment can be made after arriving in China, but must be complete before the first examination. Any hospital-required advance payment is explained before you confirm the booking. Booking steps · Cancellation and refund terms.

Discuss your own plan

Explain the appointment or examination scope you want checked. An enquiry is free and does not reserve an appointment. The receiving provider confirms suitability, availability and the written plan.
