Staying in Foshan: Guangzhou Adult Screening and a Separate Child Specialist Request
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Published · Updated
A family staying in Foshan wants adult screening in Guangzhou and asks whether a separate child specialist appointment can also be coordinated. These are two different pathways. The adult screening location remains Guangzhou; the specialist request needs its own provider review and availability confirmation.
A composite planning example based on anonymised enquiry themes, not a record of a completed visit or a promised outcome. The provider must confirm each arrangement.
Define the adult plan first
Compare the relevant adult package and campus in the Guangzhou directory. Send the Foshan hotel area, available mornings and the adults’ examination priorities. A family’s accommodation address should not be mistaken for the location where the screening will take place.
For example, Pazhou has six published adult options: men US$315, US$528 and US$750; women US$430, US$588 and US$850, with the stated eligibility conditions. Those prices and test lists do not describe a child specialist service.
Request a separate specialist pathway
Describe the type of specialist review sought through the agreed enquiry and follow-up process. Ask whether a receiving provider can review the request, what information it needs and whether an appointment is available. Do not infer paediatric acceptance from an adult check-up listing.
The specialist hospital, department, campus, clinician availability, price and language arrangements must be confirmed separately. A possible option is not a booking. No child’s personal medical details are needed in a public planning example; any actual supporting records should go through the agreed private channel.
Assign the family logistics explicitly
Ask whether the two accepted appointments are at one site or require separate journeys. Decide which adult accompanies the child and whether another adult can attend screening independently. One English-speaking companion cannot be assumed to cover simultaneous appointments at different providers.
Give the team the hotel base and fixed departure commitments. Confirm transport separately and use the Foshan transfer checklist once the campuses are known. If the family cannot cover both routes, ask about different days rather than compressing unconfirmed appointments into one morning.
Keep costs, consent and records separate
Request individual adult screening subtotals and a separate specialist quote if that pathway is accepted. Ask who must attend and confirm the receiving team’s consent and preparation requirements. Do not interpret an adult package payment as payment for the child’s appointment.
The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. The child specialist’s records and follow-up have their own arrangements outside the adult screening package. Confirm the correct recipients and delivery contacts for each pathway before booking the final family itinerary.
Draw two routes from the same hotel base
Write one route for adult screening and one for the child’s proposed specialist appointment. For each, record the confirmed provider, campus, meeting contact, accompanying adult and language support. If the second provider has not accepted the request, leave that route incomplete rather than borrowing the adult hospital’s address or appointment time.
Ask whether an adult scheduled for screening can realistically provide the child’s required support at the same time. If not, discuss a separate responsible adult or different appointment days, subject to the receiving team’s requirements. The coordinator cannot assume the role of a parent or guardian.
Close the two pathways independently
For adult screening, confirm the accepted package and included services. The hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation are delivered within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in your confirmed check-up package are completed. For the specialist request, confirm who may consent, who must attend, which consultation is accepted and how further tests would be discussed and priced. The child’s actual details belong in the agreed private process, not in a public family itinerary.
Keep receipts, clinical records and outstanding results assigned to the correct person. A completed adult appointment does not mean the specialist request has been resolved. Before the family leaves the region, confirm a contact for each remaining item and the next decision if the specialist appointment cannot be secured.
Discuss your own plan
Describe the adult and child pathways separately, including who can accompany each appointment and what remains unconfirmed.
