Adding Specific Tests to a Chengdu Women’s Check-up: Package Add-on or Separate Outpatient Visit?
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Published
A visitor comparing women’s health-check packages in Chengdu wants particular additional tests and asks whether they can be added to the package or require an outpatient appointment. She also needs a price and enough notice to book. Those questions can only be answered together once the exact request and provider pathway are clear.
A composite planning example based on anonymised enquiry themes, not a record of a completed visit or a promised outcome. The provider must confirm each arrangement.
Start with the exact test name and its purpose
Provide the requested wording or the referring clinician’s recommendation, if available, and explain what question needs to be addressed. If the exact name is not known, say so and ask for clinical review rather than substituting a guessed test. A term such as extra women’s checks is too broad for a dependable price or schedule.
Keep the selected package link beside the request. Ask which existing line, if any, matches the proposed examination and whether the method is the same. A package category or a translated label should not be assumed to cover a differently specified test.
Ask the provider to identify one of three routes
Scroll sideways to see every column.
| Route | Confirmation needed | Price question |
|---|---|---|
| Already included | Exact package item and relevant conditions match | No duplicate charge for the same included examination |
| Possible package addition | Clinical acceptance, department and availability | Separate accepted addition and any extras |
| Separate outpatient pathway | Receiving clinic, consultation or order, and appointment | Consultation and examination costs stated separately |
The second and third routes remain proposals until the hospital confirms them. A coordinator receiving the request does not establish that the check-up centre can perform the examination or that an outpatient department has accepted the visitor.
Make the order or consultation a scheduling dependency
Ask whether a clinician must assess the request or issue an order before the examination can be booked. If so, confirm which appointment comes first and whether the resulting test slot can be arranged during the same stay. Do not assume the outpatient pathway uses the check-up centre’s reception or preparation instructions.
Where two departments are involved, request the campus and meeting point for each and confirm language support across both visits. If the clinical decision will only be made at consultation, leave the possible examination and its final price pending rather than presenting it as a completed booking.
Request the cost and booking notice in the same reply
Ask the team to state the accepted route, itemised amount or unresolved price item, appointment availability and how much notice that actual provider needs. No universal number of days can be promised without its confirmation. A test price alone is not a useful answer if the prerequisite consultation cannot fit the travel window.
Keep the routine package subtotal separate from any additional examination, consultation and specifically agreed extra support. The confirmed package includes its listed tests, VIP personal coordination, English accompaniment during the check-up and the Chinese report with full English translation. Confirm the scope of an outpatient appointment rather than assuming all its services are included.
Confirm preparation and record delivery for the chosen route
Once the clinical team accepts the request, obtain its instructions for that examination. Do not copy fasting or medication advice from a different package or use this article to change treatment. If the visitor cannot follow the required preparation or timing, ask whether another appointment or plan is appropriate.
Identify which provider issues each report, when it is expected, what translation is agreed and who explains it. A separate outpatient result may not arrive with the routine check-up report. Before paying, check the final package, accepted addition or outpatient route, dates, total and follow-up contact together.
Discuss your own plan
Send the exact test wording and package link. Ask for both the accepted route and its price, preparation and booking notice.
