Guangzhou Health-check Packages Under US$400: The Complete Catalogue Comparison

By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Published

Catalogue checked: 13 October 2026. This is a dated analysis of MyChinaCheckup’s Guangzhou listings, not a survey of every hospital in Guangzhou.

Ten of the 42 published Guangzhou packages were priced below US$400 per person when checked. They span six hospital listings, with reference prices from US$268 to US$368. Five list chest X-ray, four list chest CT, and one does not list chest imaging. Their laboratory, ultrasound and eligibility wording also differs.

This guide shows how all 42 packages were filtered, then covers the full published examination scope of the ten qualifying options. US$400 is an editorial comparison threshold. It is not a clinical recommendation, an all-in trip budget or a promise that an appointment can be booked at that amount.

How the ten options were selected

We refreshed all 42 Guangzhou package pages identified in the current sitemap and cross-checked the seven hospital directories. Each directory links six packages. Every page supplied a numeric USD whole-package price; none was dropped because a price was unavailable.

The filter was strictly less than US$400, per person. No package was exactly US$400, so an “up to US$400” filter would have produced the same ten results on this date. The remaining 32 packages were above the threshold. This includes all six options at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital’s listed North-campus VIP department.

The full inventory below makes the exclusions visible. M1–M3 and W1–W3 mean the men’s and women’s package numbers in each linked hospital directory. Package numbers organise the catalogue; higher-numbered options should not be assumed to include every item from lower-numbered ones.

Hospital listing M1 M2 M3 W1 W2 W3
Sun Yat-sen Memorial $721 $930 $975 $712 $848 $1,122
Nanfang $327 $634 $1,021 $351 $662 $1,012
Zhujiang $358 $535 $969 $411 $641 $1,033
Guangzhou First People’s $268 $708 $875 $362 $653 $1,007
Guangzhou Medical First $322 $520 $898 $357 $545 $910
Clifford $346 $555 $780 $368 $580 $796
Guangdong Second Provincial, Pazhou $315 $528 $750 $430 $588 $850

All amounts in this table are USD per person, observed on 13 October 2026. The complete inventory CSV preserves every individual package URL, observed price and inclusion decision.

Eligibility remains an individual question

Six qualifying pages are labelled for men and four for women. The labels below reproduce the published scope; they do not establish that a particular attendee is eligible. “Not stated” means the reviewed package page does not supply that detail, not that there are no conditions.

Scroll horizontally to see all columns.

Qualifying package USD per person Published eligibility wording and unresolved points
First People’s Men 1 $268 Men; age guidance not stated. Its chest-X-ray row carries pregnancy/pregnancy-planning wording that needs clarification rather than silent removal.
Pazhou Men 1 $315 Men; individual suitability confirmed by the hospital. Age guidance not stated.
Guangzhou Medical First Men 1 $322 Men’s package; individual suitability to confirm. Age guidance not stated.
Nanfang Men 1 $327 Men; age guidance not stated.
Clifford Men 1 $346 Men’s package; individual suitability to confirm. Age guidance not stated.
Nanfang Women 1 $351 Page says “provider specifies unmarried” and gives age guidance 18–45. Confirm how the provider applies these conditions.
Guangzhou Medical First Women 1 $357 Women’s package; age guidance not stated. The chest-X-ray row excludes pregnancy and plans for pregnancy within six months. Confirm the provider’s wording and an appropriate plan.
Zhujiang Men 1 $358 Men; published age guidance 18–48. Individual acceptance still needs confirmation.
First People’s Women 1 $362 Page says “provider specifies married”; age guidance not stated. Chest-X-ray row carries a pregnancy/pregnancy-planning restriction.
Clifford Women 1 $368 Women’s package; age or marital-status condition not stated on this package page. Pelvic-ultrasound approach and consent require confirmation.

The marriage-related wording is retained as a source condition to clarify with the receiving provider. It is not our basis for deciding which examinations someone should receive. No clinical eligibility has been determined for a reader, and an unconfirmed package should not be marked “suitable.”

What each qualifying package actually lists

The following ten summaries cover every published examination category, with exact components where the list supplies them and unresolved details left visible. The full-row CSV preserves all 326 catalogue entries, Chinese names where published, conditions and source URLs. Row totals are not totals of distinct tests or measures of value.

First People’s Men 1 at US$268

Full package list

  • Examinations: internal medicine, surgery, eyes, dental and ENT, plus separately listed fundus, digital rectal and vision examinations.
  • Imaging and ECG: chest X-ray; ECG; ultrasound of the digestive and urinary systems, prostate and thyroid. The two system labels do not enumerate every organ.
  • Laboratory entries: urinalysis, fasting blood glucose, a four-component lipid panel with analytes to confirm, AFP and CEA, and PSA. The PSA wording does not specify total or free PSA.
  • Support entries: disposable supplies and a special-service check-up fee. The latter is a fee, not another medical examination.

A complete blood count, liver panel and kidney panel are not separately named in this list. Do not insert them because another “basic” package contains them. The chest-X-ray restriction remains a clarification point even though this page is labelled for men.

Pazhou Men 1 at US$315

Full package list

  • Examinations: blood pressure, height and weight; internal medicine, surgery, ENT and ophthalmology; fundus examination.
  • Imaging and ECG: chest and cervical-spine X-rays, each in frontal and lateral views; ECG; bone-density examination with device and measurement site to confirm.
  • Ultrasound: liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, bladder, ureters, prostate and thyroid are named. The source wording has a punctuation gap and asks for complete scan-scope confirmation; kidneys must not be silently added.
  • Laboratory entries: AFP and CEA, both quantitative; EBV testing with assay unspecified; blood glucose, complete blood count and urinalysis; liver-function four-item, kidney-function three-item, lipid six-item and cardiac three-item panels.

The four panel labels do not supply their component names. No specific cardiac marker or kidney analyte can be inferred from the panel title alone. This is the only Pazhou option below the threshold; the women’s first package is US$430.

Guangzhou Medical First Men 1 at US$322

Full package list

  • Examinations and listed services: internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmic and ENT examinations; venous blood collection; an included outpatient consultation fee at associate-chief-physician level.
  • Imaging and ECG: two-view chest X-ray; ECG; colour Doppler ultrasound of thyroid and draining lymph nodes, liver/gallbladder/spleen/pancreas with portal vein, and male urinary tract. The urinary organs are not individually listed.
  • Laboratory entries: venous blood cell analysis; urine dry chemistry and quantitative urine sediment; HbA1c, fasting glucose, hs-CRP and homocysteine; routine stool and occult-blood analysis.
  • Unspecified panels: three-component metabolic, liver function group 1, four-component lipid and two-component tumour-marker panels.

The two tumour markers are unnamed. A stool occult-blood entry also does not name a FIT assay. Preserve the original wording when asking the provider to clarify it.

Nanfang Men 1 at US$327

Full package list

  • Examinations: general assessment with height, weight and blood pressure; internal medicine, surgery-department physical examination, ophthalmology and ENT. A further height-and-weight entry is printed separately and retained in the dataset.
  • Imaging and ECG: chest CT with physical film excluded; ECG; ultrasound of liver/gallbladder/pancreas/spleen, kidneys/prostate/bladder, and thyroid.
  • Laboratory entries: complete blood count, fasting glucose, HbA1c, homocysteine, kidney and liver panels, EBV capsid-antigen IgA, AFP, CEA, total PSA and free PSA. The lipid row explicitly names TG, HDL-C, TC and LDL-C.
  • Other samples and tests: urinalysis, C13 urea breath test and the stool entry labelled “Stool Routine[OB].”

One row says “Urinary urea nitrogen” while its description uses BUN. The specimen requires confirmation; we have not corrected it by assumption. The generic grouping note beneath the lipid row also says sub-indicators are not fully specified, despite the four names in the label. The dataset preserves both pieces of wording.

Clifford Men 1 at US$346

Full package list

  • Examinations: height, weight and blood pressure; nutritional and general appearance assessments; heart, lung, abdominal, liver and spleen examination; skin, superficial lymph nodes, thyroid, breast, spine, limbs and joints; ear/nose and oropharyngeal examination; visual acuity and external eye examination; oral examination.
  • Imaging and physiological testing: low-dose non-contrast chest CT with 3D reconstruction; resting ECG; C13 urea breath test; colour Doppler ultrasound of liver/gallbladder/pancreas/spleen, kidneys/bladder/ureters, and prostate.
  • Laboratory categories: individually listed blood-count/differential measurements; 12 named liver-function entries; serum creatinine, urea, uric acid and glucose; total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL cholesterol; quantitative AFP and CEA; EBV antibodies with subtype unspecified; ten named urine measurements.
  • Support entries: blood-collection supplies, report and breakfast.

The blood-count section preserves a source-listed red-cell-volume-fraction entry alongside haematocrit and includes distribution plots. These lines should not be interpreted as extra independent analytes. The glucose row does not specify fasting. The precise labels and all laboratory components are retained in the full-row file.

Nanfang Women 1 at US$351

Full package list

  • Laboratory entries: CA19-9, EBV capsid-antigen IgA, AFP, CEA, HbA1c, blood glucose, complete blood count, lipid panel and urinalysis.
  • Ultrasound: liver/gallbladder/pancreas/spleen, thyroid, carotid arteries and breasts. Two further entries say only “Ultrasound” and “Ultrasound (Female).” Their body regions and method remain unspecified.
  • Other examinations: ECG; blood pressure and heart rate; surgery-department physical examination; height and weight; ophthalmology and ENT.

Chest imaging, a breath test and separate liver- or kidney-function laboratory panels are not named. The unspecified ultrasound entries cannot be used as proof of a particular pelvic or urinary scan. The published unmarried/18–45 wording must be checked for the individual attendee.

Guangzhou Medical First Women 1 at US$357

Full package list

  • Examinations and listed services: internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmic and ENT examinations; venous blood collection; included associate-chief-physician outpatient consultation fee.
  • Imaging and ECG: two-view chest X-ray, subject to its stated restriction; ECG; colour Doppler ultrasound of thyroid and draining lymph nodes, breasts and draining lymph nodes, liver/gallbladder/spleen/pancreas with portal vein, and female urinary tract.
  • Gynaecological imaging: transabdominal colour Doppler ultrasound, with a full bladder specified.
  • Laboratory entries: venous blood cell analysis; urine dry chemistry and quantitative sediment; homocysteine, fasting glucose, routine stool and occult-blood analysis; unspecified liver group 1, three-component metabolic, four-component lipid and two-component tumour-marker panels.

HbA1c and hs-CRP are named in this hospital’s men’s first package but are not separately named here. The women’s label should not be treated as the men’s list with additional ultrasound examinations.

Zhujiang Men 1 at US$358

Full package list

  • Imaging and ECG: chest CT and cervical-spine X-ray, both with physical film excluded; ECG; ultrasound of thyroid, liver/gallbladder/pancreas/spleen, and kidneys/prostate/bladder.
  • Laboratory entries: complete blood count, HbA1c, fasting glucose, homocysteine, EBV testing with assay unspecified, AFP, CEA, liver and kidney panels, total PSA and free PSA.
  • Named panel labels: the lipid row names TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C; another row names TSH, FT4 and FT3. Generic grouping notes still say individual sub-indicators are not fully specified; seek clarification if a specific component is essential.
  • Other samples and tests: urinalysis, C13 urea breath test and “Stool Routine[OB].”

The list does not separately name routine physical-examination departments. Do not fill that gap from a different provider’s package. The page gives age guidance of 18–48; individual suitability and acceptance remain unconfirmed.

First People’s Women 1 at US$362

Full package list

  • Examinations: internal medicine, surgery, eyes, dental, nose/throat and gynaecology; fundus, digital rectal and vision examinations.
  • Gynaecological laboratory entries: liquid-based cervical cytology, labelled TCT, and vaginal secretion examination. HPV testing is not separately named.
  • Imaging and ECG: chest X-ray with the published restriction; ECG; ultrasound of uterus and adnexa with route unspecified, plus digestive/urinary systems, thyroid and breasts. System labels leave individual organs unresolved.
  • Other laboratory entries: urinalysis, fasting glucose, a four-component lipid panel with analytes unspecified, AFP and CEA.
  • Support entries: disposable supplies and the special-service check-up fee.

As with this hospital’s men’s first package, complete blood count and liver- and kidney-function panels are not separately named. Confirm the provider’s married-category wording and the examination approach before deciding whether this option can be considered.

Clifford Women 1 at US$368

Full package list

  • Examinations: height, weight and blood pressure; nutritional/general appearance, internal-medicine, surgical, ENT, eye and oral examinations, with the individual components printed in the list.
  • Imaging and physiological testing: low-dose non-contrast chest CT with 3D reconstruction, resting ECG and C13 breath test; ultrasound of liver/gallbladder/pancreas/spleen, kidneys/bladder/ureters, uterus/adnexa/pelvis, and both breasts. The pelvic-ultrasound approach is unspecified.
  • Laboratory categories: individually listed blood-count/differential measurements; 12 named liver entries; serum creatinine, urea, uric acid and glucose; total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL; quantitative AFP and CEA; EBV antibodies with subtype unspecified; ten named urine measurements.
  • Support entries: blood-collection supplies, report and breakfast.

Do not copy every blood-count label from the men’s list. The women’s page names neutrophil, eosinophil and lymphocyte percentages where the men’s page names counts. The source-listed red-cell-volume-fraction wording and distribution plots are retained as printed. As with the men’s package, the glucose row does not specify fasting.

Differences the price filter cannot resolve

The five X-ray options are First People’s Men 1 and Women 1, Guangzhou Medical First Men 1 and Women 1, and Pazhou Men 1. The four CT options are Nanfang Men 1, Zhujiang Men 1 and both Clifford first packages. Nanfang Women 1 lists neither chest examination. None of those catalogue facts decides whether imaging is appropriate for an individual.

Some gaps concern specification rather than an omitted test. “Urinary tract,” an unnamed metabolic panel and “Ultrasound (Female)” all need different follow-up questions. Treat their unknown components as unresolved, not included by assumption and not definitively excluded. Likewise, C13 breath-test entries and stool occult-blood entries should retain their actual names when asking for a quote.

A package with more printed rows does not thereby offer greater clinical value. The 326 preserved entries include bundled panels, separate measurements, physical examinations, supplies, report and breakfast. This guide does not rank providers or recommend buying every listed examination.

Turn the shortlist into an individual written quote

The pages describe four included services for a selected, confirmed package: listed examinations and consumables, personal coordination, English-speaking accompaniment throughout the check-up, and the hospital-issued Chinese report with full English translation. Do not add those services again as assumed extras. The published report commitment is within 3–5 working days after all examinations in the confirmed package are completed. The current service terms describe the agreed inclusive price for confirmed visits through 31 December 2026. Confirm the applicable quote for a later visit; already accepted quotes retain their agreed terms.

An amount below US$400 here covers one listed package for one person. Extra examinations, treatment, medicines, transport and accommodation are outside that amount unless expressly included in the written plan. For an existing cost overview, see the Guangzhou budget guide; for several adults, retain a separate accepted scope and subtotal for each person.

Use the Guangzhou planning page to request clarification of the specific package links you are considering. Give the dates and actual budget constraint, identify any unresolved panel or examination wording, and ask the hospital to confirm individual suitability. Request the campus, accepted scope, included services, approved extras, availability and total in writing before payment. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment. No passport image or medical record is needed for the first message.

Source and dataset notes

This census covers the 42 package URLs linked by the seven MyChinaCheckup Guangzhou hospital directories and recorded in the live sitemap on 13 October 2026. All 42 returned successfully and had numeric prices. The ten qualifying HTML lists matched the supplied catalogue snapshot after whitespace normalisation.

Five of the ten qualifying pages link a package PDF: the two Guangzhou Medical First options, the two Clifford options and Pazhou Men 1. Those PDFs were retrieved; all displayed prices matched the HTML, and every English item label was checked in the PDF first-column text. The other five qualifying pages were verified from their complete HTML tables. These are the operator’s documents, not independent confirmation from the hospitals.

The downloadable 42-price inventory, 326-row ledger and eligibility-and-conditions file preserve every source and mark unknowns. The exact-label matrix places all ten packages side by side, preserving section context and source-row references. Its unfilled matches mean only that the same wording was not separately named; different wording is not automatically a different examination. They allow the threshold result to be reproduced without treating a selected sample as the whole market. Recheck prices, eligibility, scope and availability for an actual appointment; a future revision can change which packages fall below the threshold.
