Practical check-up guide
Cardiac Blood Markers, ECG and Echocardiography in Guangzhou Packages
By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Published
Package lists and medical sources checked 13 October 2026.
A package can list an ECG, a cardiac blood marker, a laboratory panel or cardiac ultrasound. Those entries should occupy different columns. In the 42 Guangzhou package pages reviewed on 13 October 2026, the catalogue includes named Troponin T rows, panels whose components are not named, and several different cardiac-ultrasound labels. A generic “heart check” tick cannot preserve these distinctions.
This is a reading guide for existing offers, not a recommendation to purchase cardiac blood tests or additional screening. If you think you may be having a heart attack, seek emergency medical help where you are rather than waiting for a check-up booking. MedlinePlus troponin test.
What the three columns mean
Blood measurements: a troponin test measures a protein in blood and is principally used in clinical assessment of suspected heart attacks, alongside other information. MedlinePlus describes troponin I and T as distinct forms that tests may measure. A catalogue line saying “Troponin T” does not identify a high-sensitivity method or a full assessment pathway. MedlinePlus troponin test.
Electrical recording: an ECG records the heart’s electrical signals. Its results do not, on their own, diagnose a heart condition. A standard recording is also a short snapshot; it is not the same service specification as prolonged monitoring. MedlinePlus electrocardiogram.
Imaging: an echocardiogram uses sound waves to form images of the heart; Doppler evaluates blood movement. That is a different kind of information from an ECG or a blood measurement. A catalogue description still needs its exact examination scope confirmed. MedlinePlus echocardiogram.
Package rows that show why separation matters
The audit started with all 78 Shanghai/Guangzhou catalogue pages and reviewed all 42 Guangzhou pages in full. The table groups 22 Guangzhou pages that explicitly name a cardiac blood marker/panel or cardiac ultrasound. All 42 pages explicitly list an ECG; the remaining 20 did not have a matching named blood-marker/panel or cardiac-ultrasound row in the reviewed text. That is a statement about published wording, not a guarantee of exclusion or a complete hospital service inventory.

An unnamed panel is still unnamed at a higher item count
Pazhou’s three-item and six-item cardiac laboratory panels disclose their counts, but not their components. Neither count confirms that troponin is included. GMU’s 心肌二项 similarly identifies a two-component panel without naming the two measurements. Do not copy CK-MB, LDH, troponin or any other familiar marker into those blanks.
Sun Yat-sen Memorial provides a different level of detail: some enzyme-panel titles explicitly name CK, LDH and CK-MB, while others name LDH and CK-MB. The catalogue also attaches a general note that group sub-indicators are not fully specified. The correct reading preserves the names that are printed while leaving any additional components unknown. It does not erase the named components, and it does not treat that short title as a certified complete laboratory specification.
Read the imaging section too
An ECG-only keyword search would miss the cardiac-ultrasound entries at Guangzhou First People’s, GMU, Clifford and Pazhou. It would also miss the unnamed panels because “cardiac laboratory” and 心肌二项 are not the word “troponin.” This is why the comparison uses complete tables rather than a single-term search.
The wording differences within a provider matter as well. GMU men’s Select 03 names cardiac ultrasound, while the reviewed women’s Select 03 table names the two-component marker panel without an explicitly cardiac-named ultrasound row. Clifford men’s Advanced 02, men’s Select 03 and women’s Select 03 name cardiac colour Doppler plus cardiac function assessment. Those observations cannot be extended to every package at either hospital.
The Clifford “Heart examination” row is retained in the evidence record but is not converted into a blood test or an echocardiogram. A general examination heading does not identify either modality. Likewise, an unqualified “Ultrasound” row is not enough to mark the cardiac-imaging column as confirmed.
Turn the catalogue into a precise scope question
Keep the three columns when asking for clarification:
- Laboratory: copy the printed marker name, or ask for every component of the named panel. If the row says Troponin T, ask for assay details only if they are relevant to the clinician’s request; do not label it high-sensitivity without confirmation.
- ECG: record whether the offer expressly says resting ECG or another specified recording. Do not infer an exercise test or prolonged monitor from an ECG label.
- Imaging: copy the exact cardiac-ultrasound wording and ask what examination is proposed. Do not infer stress, transoesophageal or other additional forms from a general cardiac-ultrasound label.
- Clinical review: ask who decides whether the proposed items address the clinical question, and who will explain the findings. A translated report is not itself a promised specialist appointment.
A six-item laboratory panel and an ultrasound line are not a single interchangeable “heart package.” The comparison should remain incomplete wherever the underlying specification is incomplete.
Keep the purpose of testing separate from the list
A commercial inclusion cannot establish that a test is appropriate for an asymptomatic traveller. MedlinePlus places troponin chiefly in diagnostic care and describes ECG testing as primarily used for symptoms or established heart conditions, rather than a universal screening test. This audit does not convert either into a routine travel add-on. MedlinePlus troponin; MedlinePlus ECG.
For the appointment and review questions after an echo has been proposed, see adding an echocardiogram and confirming the results review. If the enquiry begins with symptoms rather than a wording question, the heart-concern planning guide explains the separate clinical route. Neither a package count nor this comparison provides a diagnosis, clearance for travel or a rule-out of acute disease.

This table reflects MyChinaCheckup’s public HTML catalogue and linked PDFs where provided, checked on the date above. It does not independently verify a hospital’s current laboratory platform, complete panel composition, appointment capacity, specialist-review availability or clinical suitability. No blood-result thresholds, testing intervals, treatment advice or exercise-ECG availability have been inferred.
Continue planning
Use the Guangzhou check-up planning page for the city and booking context, and the package-comparison guide for the complete written proposal. A directory row is a reference for asking precise questions; it does not confirm an appointment, a current quotation or personal medical suitability.
