Immunoglobulin Panels and Allergy Tests in China: Read the Exact Names

By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Published

An immunoglobulin row in a China check-up package does not identify a set of allergy tests. Before comparing packages, copy the antibody names exactly and check whether any specific allergens are named. “IgE” alone does not give you an allergen list; IgG, IgA, IgM and IgG4 should not be silently relabelled as one.

This guide compares eight MyChinaCheckup Shanghai package listings checked on 13 October 2026. These are the operator’s published lists, not hospital-confirmed test orders for your visit. The comparison helps resolve wording; it does not recommend an immune or allergy screening panel.

Separate antibody quantities from allergen-specific tests

MedlinePlus describes an immunoglobulins blood test as measuring antibody amounts, usually IgG, IgA and IgM. Those measurements alone cannot establish a diagnosis. Its allergy-test guide distinguishes total IgE, which measures the overall amount, from specific IgE testing directed at individual allergens. Total IgE does not identify a particular allergen or the severity of an allergy. Immunoglobulins blood test · Allergy blood test.

Wording you receive What to record What still needs clarification
Named immunoglobulins, such as IgG, IgA and IgM Each name actually printed Whether those are the complete agreed components and what question the clinician is addressing
IgE, with no further detail The exact IgE wording, without adding “total” or “specific” yourself Which measurement is intended; whether an allergen-specific test is proposed
Allergen-specific IgE with named targets Exact allergen names supplied by the provider Whether those targets are the complete list accepted for your appointment
“Allergy panel” without components An unresolved panel label Test type, named targets and hospital confirmation; do not fill the gap with a standard panel found elsewhere

The last two rows explain how to handle a specification you might receive; they are not claims that those services are included in the eight packages below.

What the eight catalogue pages actually say

Each linked page is the source for its quoted label. A four-name bundle occupies one displayed row in one package and four rows in another. That difference in presentation is not evidence of four times as much testing.

Operator package listing Exact listed wording Named components visible What the row does not establish
Huashan Pudong women 2 “Immunoglobulin IgG,IgA,IgM,IgE” IgG, IgA, IgM, IgE in one row No named allergens; no explicit total/specific IgE distinction
Huashan Pudong women 3 “Immunoglobulin IgG”; “Immunoglobulin IgA”; “Immunoglobulin IgM”; “Immunoglobulin IgE” Four separately displayed names Separate rows do not establish a different assay or an allergen panel
Renji East men 2, men 3, women 2, women 3 “Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)” IgG4 specifically Do not rewrite this as IgG, a full immunoglobulin panel or a food-allergen list
Ruijin Jiading women 2, women 3 “Immunoglobulin A(IgA)” IgA specifically The row does not name IgG, IgM, IgE or individual allergens

This is a comparison of the immunoglobulin wording on those pages, not a complete comparison of their examinations. A missing row does not prove that a hospital cannot provide a test. Nor should an unnamed component be added to a package by inference. Ask for a current, visit-specific answer.

Use a name-matching worksheet

If a clinician has already provided a request, keep that document’s wording alongside the catalogue label. Do not translate a request for a particular allergen into “IgE included” and mark it resolved. Equally, do not assume that an isolated IgA or IgG4 row answers a request for a different measurement.

Field Your record
Package URL, campus and date checked ____
Exact catalogue row ____
Exact test wording in the clinician’s request, if any ____
Total immunoglobulin, total IgE, specific IgE, other, or unresolved ____
Named components or allergen targets supplied by the hospital ____
Hospital-confirmed match, different test, or awaiting clarification ____
Confirmation date and contact ____

Leave unknown fields blank. The aim is an accurate specification, not a longer list. A clinician determines whether a test is appropriate and interprets any result; the coordinator can request the wording and arrange the accepted appointment.

A focused request you can adapt

“I am comparing [package URL] with an existing clinical request. The package says [exact row]. Please confirm the full test name and components with the selected hospital. If IgE is included, is it total IgE or testing for named allergens? Please list any agreed allergen targets rather than describing the scope only as an allergy panel. Mark anything not yet confirmed as unresolved and explain any separately proposed appointment or charge.”

Use the provider’s private route for clinical records. You do not need to place symptoms, test results or identity documents in an initial package-specification enquiry.

When the question is about symptoms rather than wording

If your reason for asking is a suspected allergy or recurring infections, use the consultation-first planning example to frame the appointment goal. This article does not choose tests, interpret levels or suggest dietary restrictions, supplements or treatment. For the rest of the quotation, the package comparison guide covers the agreed scope and service arrangements.

Sources and scope

Catalogue labels and primary medical references checked 13 October 2026. MedlinePlus supplies terminology and test limitations; the linked MyChinaCheckup pages supply the observed operator wording. Neither establishes hospital availability for an individual appointment. No clinician review is claimed for this administrative comparison.
