Planning a Two- or Three-Day Women’s Health Visit in China

By MyChinaCheckup coordination team · Updated

Build a realistic short-stay sequence for consultations, tests and follow-up, with pending reports and optional items clearly identified.

Start with priorities, not a packed timetable

Two or three available days describe a travel constraint, not a promise that every consultation and examination can be completed. Identify the main clinical question and ask which appointment should happen first. Distinguish the essential discussion from optional checks you would consider if time and suitability allow.

Give the city, arrival and departure limits, and any fixed commitments. Ask the hospital to confirm the actual campus and appointment dates before building transport or sightseeing around them. A provisional enquiry is not a reserved slot.

Use a sequence with clear decision points

StepWhat must be clear
Before travelRecords needed, appropriate department, provisional scope, current quote and any preparation questions.
First clinical appointmentThe clinician’s assessment and which examinations, if any, should follow.
Confirmed examinationsExact test, location, preparation, safety review and consent.
Results reviewWhich reports must be available and whether a useful review fits the remaining stay.
After departurePending documents, agreed delivery arrangements and clinical follow-up.

This is a planning order, not a guaranteed day-by-day itinerary. Where a clinician has already provided a valid examination request, the receiving hospital should confirm whether that changes the order.

Check the dependencies between appointments

Ask whether a gynaecology or other specialist consultation should precede an MRI request, and whether the final radiology report is required for a later review. Confirm the anticipated timing of each component separately. Avoid paying for a results-review slot that falls before the necessary results are expected.

Ask whether departments share a campus and registration process. Leave room for travel, preparation and any hospital instructions after an examination. If relaxation medicine is being considered for MRI, discuss the support and onward-travel implications with the clinical team; do not assume you can resume a full itinerary immediately.

Resolve periods, medicines and comfort requests early

Raise pregnancy possibility, current treatment, recent procedures and examination preferences with the hospital. If dates overlap your period, ask which individual items need different timing. The NHS cervical-screening booking guidance discusses timing outside a period and relevant circumstances to raise; your booked provider must supply the actual instructions.

Request a female clinician, examination operator, chaperone or private conversation in advance as needed. Confirm availability rather than assuming every preference can be accommodated at the same time. Keep the clinical preparation instructions separate from travel and registration instructions.

Allow for reports arriving after the trip

For the confirmed check-up package, the site’s published delivery arrangement is the hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation within 3–5 working days after all examinations listed in that package are completed. Consultations, treatment, pathology and other services outside the listed package follow their separately confirmed arrangements.

A short stay may therefore end before the full package documents arrive. Ask which records can be provided earlier, which remain pending and how follow-up will occur. Do not treat an informal comment during a scan as the final written report. See reports and images for overseas follow-up.

Reconcile every addition after changing a package

If the base package changes, compare the revised plan against the earlier list of requested additions. An item discussed in a message can otherwise disappear from the final quote. Ask for one dated version showing the status of each item:

StatusWhat to confirm
RetainedExact examination or consultation, inclusion, price and appointment.
RemovedThe reason and the agreed financial treatment, if any.
Pending clinical reviewWho decides, what information is needed and when the decision is due.
Separately quotedAdditional cost and your acceptance before proceeding.

If a revised package appears to duplicate a requested DXA or another test, verify the method and anatomical scope before removing anything. Deletion, substitution, a credit and a refund are different questions; no particular deduction is automatic. Keep the revised list and total together.

Agree what happens when one item changes

Ask for one current itemised plan showing confirmed appointments, optional additions and unresolved availability. If a department changes a slot or a clinician advises a different examination, request a revised sequence and total before accepting the change.

Check the applicable cancellation and refund terms and your written quote. An omitted optional item does not automatically create a particular discount or refund. Use the enquiry notes to explain fixed travel limits and special requirements so these can be considered before the booking is finalised.

For postponement around surgery or another procedure, obtain clinical advice on timing and separately check the applicable rescheduling, expiry, cancellation and refund terms in writing. A medical reason for delay does not by itself establish a particular contractual outcome.

A morning check-up during a business trip or exhibition does not mean that all optional investigations, specialist reviews and final reports will be completed within half a day. Confirm the finish time and pending items individually, using the report arrangements above.

Plan a visit around your priorities

Tell us your preferred city, travel dates, main questions and special requirements. We can check the appropriate appointment route, current scope and itemised quote with the hospital.

An enquiry does not reserve an appointment. Confirm the hospital, dates, scope and total in writing before payment.
