Two Visitors, Individual Plans: A Shenzhen Check-up and TCM Experience
Andrea and Alpay wanted to experience a health check-up and traditional Chinese medicine in Shenzhen, with support in English. They were travelling together, but the starting point was two individual plans.
Andrea and Alpay joined us for a hosted visit. This film brings together moments we recorded during the day, separate from the videos they create for their own channels.
Making the arrangements clear before the visit
Before they reached the hospital, we worked through the proposed examination lists and the practical details of attending. Each person had a separate plan, and Lucy was introduced as the English-speaking assistant who would help coordinate the day.
Sharing a hospital visit did not mean choosing identical examinations. The arrangements needed to account for each person’s plan and the hospital’s assessment, while making it easier for the couple to move through an unfamiliar setting.
The visit took place on 28 October 2026 at Shenzhen Hospital (Futian) of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.

The small questions between examinations
A package list can describe examinations, but it cannot show all the steps between them: finding the right area, checking where to wait and keeping track of what comes next.
Lucy stayed in contact as the visit progressed. After one examination, Andrea needed help with where to go next. That ordinary moment captures an important part of accompaniment: having someone available who understands the arrangements and can help with the next practical step.
The photos and clips bring together moments from the examination areas and an eye examination. Between appointments, there was also time to sit down with Lucy and share a meal.
Moments from the day
An eye examination, a TCM experience and a meal together were different parts of the same accompanied visit.

A TCM experience within the same visit
The day also included a traditional Chinese medicine experience. The film follows the setting and the movement between hospital areas, giving other visitors a sense of what an accompanied visit can look like.
The hospital’s clinicians were responsible for medical assessment and treatment decisions. Our role was to coordinate the arrangements and provide English-speaking support. The type and suitability of any TCM service should be discussed with the healthcare provider for each individual.
The visit ended; report follow-up continued
The on-site check-up and TCM experience were completed. Steven and Lucy continued following up the reports after the visit.
Report preparation and English translation are the next stages. At the time of this update, Steven and Lucy were still following up the reports. Any later medical consultation would be arranged separately.
Once reports are available, visitors can keep both the hospital’s original and the agreed translation together and discuss any recommended next steps with their clinician. A written summary or help arranging follow-up is different from a medical consultation.
A shared day still needs a personal plan
For Andrea and Alpay, the useful thread was continuity: individual plans before the visit, someone to help on site, and a point of contact afterwards.
For another visitor, the examination list and timing may be different. Start with your travel dates, priorities and previous examination records. We can help clarify the options and coordinate the practical steps, while the hospital assesses medical suitability.
That is part of our brand story: making health easier to understand and putting care into each step.
Planning questions
Can two visitors have different check-up plans at the same hospital?
Yes. Andrea and Alpay had separate plans for their shared visit. Examination suitability, appointments and the order of the visit need to be confirmed for each person.
What did English-speaking support involve?
Lucy helped with on-site coordination and communication between examination areas. Steven and Lucy continued following up the reports after the on-site visit. Medical assessment and treatment remained the hospital’s responsibility.
Have their reports been delivered?
As of 29 October 2026, the on-site visit was complete and Steven and Lucy were still following up the reports.
