China Health Check-up Cost for UK Visitors: What to Compare
Updated 14 September 2026 · MyChinaCheckup
When a UK visitor compares a health check-up in China with a private appointment at home, the headline price is only one part of the decision. The useful comparison is the complete visit: tests, hospital campus, English coordination, report format and what happens if a result needs follow-up.
Compare the quote line by line
- Clinical scope: ask for the exact tests, imaging and consultation included in the package.
- Hospital and campus: confirm the city, campus and whether the international or VIP service is being booked.
- Language support: check whether English help covers registration, imaging and the doctor's explanation, not only email.
- Reports: confirm Chinese and professional English reports, delivery date and whether digital copies are included.
- Extras: clarify transport, accommodation, medication and tests requested after an abnormal finding.
Why a one-day visit can work for a UK itinerary
Most preventive packages can be arranged in a morning when the visitor arrives fasting and the appointment is pre-booked. Plan around 2–3.5 hours on site, then leave time for a meal and travel. Keep at least one flexible day in China in case a doctor recommends a repeat test or consultation.
Questions UK visitors should ask before payment
- Is the quote fixed in RMB, and what exchange-rate or payment fees apply?
- Who confirms the appointment if a flight changes?
- When will I receive the English report, and can it be shared with my GP?
- Which follow-up options are available in the same city?
Travel and medical planning
Check current UK government travel health advice and insurance terms before travel. A preventive check-up is not emergency care, and a package does not replace advice from your GP. Bring your passport, medication list, allergies and a short summary of relevant medical history.
